I was two months short of applying for citizenship 🫤
I wonder if they'll still let me do it since I'm married to an Argentine

I don't think I have an active enough audience on here for this to do any good, but I'm offering a rent-a-triston service
Think AI/marketing consultant on retainer
So far, it has led to some creative ad strategies, some crazy amounts of market research and avatar building (this was a premium version, not the basic $250 plan) from ~$50,000,000 in ad spend across the entire planet!, and some prompt cleaning/optimization
Not bad for like... 24 hours?
I still have a few spots left if you need any help with your AI or marketing stuff :D

AI is awesome 🤣
After months of data collection and analysis, we can now confidently say that naps have a positive affect on my work and I should nap more often
This is legitimately the best way to see how smart an AI is and to see how far we've come in just the past few years
A few weeks ago, I called GPT-5.6 Sol "insane at Pokémon"
I got early access to GPT-6 Astra. It beat the game over 5x faster.
Time to become Champion:
• GPT-6 Astra (high): 18h 12m
• GPT-5.6 Sol (max): 96h 35m
For perspective, GPT-5.5 still hadn’t finished after 218 hours.
From struggling to finish to beating the game in under a day. The pace of progress is wild.
Fresh run coming to the GPT Plays Pokémon Twitch channel!

Last I checked, Hermitcraft was getting around 40,000,000 views a month across all channels.
This post got like 200,000 views
The folks claiming that they're going to lose the community is a tiny fraction of that 200,000
Being a content creator is awesome
Dealing with self-absorbed people on the internet takes some of the fun out of it, though

Clips, by their own nature, are out of context. Think about who Skizz is as a human being. Realize such remarks happen in conversation thatcan be perceived negatively. When we talk, we use language in a way that can misrepresent who we are when that broader context is lost.
I'm trying to get Codex to play a tower defense game (Sir, We Have An Orc Problem). Long story short, I want to give my AI assistant machine guns...
Anyways!
The bugger decided to look up guides on how to beat the first level 🤣
The coolest part of all this vibe coding stuff is how fast we can do things
I've been working on my recipe app and one of the features is being able to upload pictures of your receipts to it, so it knows what you have available to cook, but also how much it cost and where you got it
So, next time you go grocery shopping, it'll tell you milk is cheaper in Store A and bread is cheaper in Store B. Eventually, I'll make that location dependant so other people using the app in your area add prices and locations for you to use
But, I wanted to know if my milk was still good. So, I asked the AI assistant when I bought my last gallon and if it was still good. It went thru my receipts and pictures of my fridge, found the milk, found the expiration date, and confirmed it was still good for another week
The app just saved me $3.50
Now, I said it was crazy how fast things can get built; it couldn't perform that kind of check when I left my house to go grocery shopping. I added it, published the web version and updated the Android app, and tested it all while walking around the store
I freaking love this stuff

If you want to try it out, it's free for the next few weeks as I iron out the bugs

Seeing all white sockets in Path of Exile (3.29) is such a huge shock. I think this is the change I'm most excited about

I got into Minecraft because it gave me a place to escape from the life problems I was going thru.
I had just bought a house and car
Immediately lost my job
In the middle of requesting a fiance visa for my girlfriend (now wife) who was 9,000 miles away
And life just kinda sucked
Digging holes was a powerful escape for me and I still play it 17 years later
A level 1 viewer is looking for that kind of escape from whatever life is throwing at them
You can help by giving them consistent, uplifting, and focused content
Try not to bring in real world stuff. No real world drama, politics, news, or anything. People are trying to get away from all of that
Lean into level 2 where you can
Monetize with ads and supporter stuff. Don't interrupt the viewer experience with sponsorship reads unless it really fits and you can keep it short

What is a hook, and why does your audience level change it?
A hook is just proof that the viewer is about to get what they came for.
- Audience is bored? Show them the fun right away.
- They want a league starter for PoE 3.29? Show the build in action first.
- They’re stressed? Start calming them down in the first few seconds.
If the hook shows the solution to their problem, they stay.
Longer watch time → more recommendations → faster growth.
And you don’t have 30 seconds.
You have about 5.

Your audience isn't "everyone," dummy
Your audience depends on the problem you help them solve, and the most common problems are:
- escapism
- entertainment
- community
(Levels 4 and 5 are Fame and Mastery)
There's crossover, but the questions you have to answer are: who am I making for, why are they on YouTube, why would they choose my video, and why would they watch more of my videos?
Making videos for everyone is why you have 4 views

Your audience is not a demographic.
“Men 18-34 who like Minecraft” tells me almost nothing.
Why are they watching?
To relax?
To laugh?
To make friends?
To be recognized?
To master the game?
Understanding the need behind the view changes everything about how you make content (and how you monetize it).
