𝗧𝗵𝗲 "𝗶𝗻𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗿𝘂𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻" 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗿𝘆𝗽𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝘄𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗲, 𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿, 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀: Over the course of the last year or so, we've seen tons of new, shiny objects capture the narrative in crypto. While I think many of these are lacking the sustainability to make it long-term, a handful of these are going to disrupt the market. In the same way that Uber disrupted taxis. A few that come to mind instantly: @routescan_io taking marketshare from @etherscan. @DeBankDeFi dominating port tracking rather than @zapper_fi. @UniTerminalExt offering a better UX than @MetaMask. @LlamaNodes obtaining customers away from @infura_io. While the battle-tested projects will continue to stand tall and host a strong user base, betting on the underdog is more appealing from an ROI standpoint. As seen above, if there are better, cheaper, faster alternatives out there, the market will seek them out. Why would you drive anything BUT Uber, assuming the stats above are true...? Clearly, this thesis isn't particularly crypto-specific as it tends to happen across the broader technology sector, but it happens *much* quicker in crypto as the product life cycles tend to be faster to obtain feedback and improve. In todays post, we'll focus on disruption #3, @UniTerminalExt, a new browser extension coming onto the market looking to establish its footing. 𝘚𝘰 𝘧𝘢𝘳 𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘥𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦. Following their recent launch, token trading live, and 1000 downloads of their terminal, its clear that market participants who are looking for a better onchain experience are leaning into this new solution. @UniTerminalExt is a DeFi power users dream come true, a Chrome extension which offers tons of different use cases and functionalities. You can trade directly, scan contract addresses, chart your favorite shitcoins, play in casinos, trade perps and more all within the extension itself. The simplicity of the extension is the best part, imo. Realistically, if we are to onboard the next wave of crypto users, there's no way it happens with hard-to-use extensions. 𝗪𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗺𝘆𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳. One of the really cool features of @UniTerminalExt is you can keep the extension open (and have multiple dApps open within it) while using the normal internet. See below for how this can look: For me, its more of being able to do work, while keeping a finger on the pulse. Or, more importantly, keeping my TG chats open for discussion and having access to live data from something like @DefiLlama while I'm working. For the users deep into the TG bot game... You can enjoy sniper integrations with bots like @TeamUnibot and @MaestroBots which are natively embedded into the tool. You can literally pull up any contract address, review it instantly, see the token security through the aforementioned bot integrations and then make a well-educated decision with regards to your next steps. To ape or not to ape, always the question my frens. As we as a community take strides to improve UX, we will see imcumbents be slowly left behind. 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲: Recently, there's been a ton of talk with regards to users onboarding directly to Solana vs. ETH L2s. I don't particularly think this is true in any capacity, but if you think of it from a user POV - they will simply go to where they are treated best. Best UX, cheapest experience, strongest number go up technology...all of this is important for users. Half-joking, but community in crypto is often built off of rewarding your early adopters and turning them into diehard, loyal supporters. I think @UniTerminalExt has a chance to do this (and they already are), with their recent launch and extension reviews thus far. The extension is quite nice to use and I think we'll see more competition in this niche, forcing the bigger names to elevate their game. Isn't that what capitalism is all about? As we wrap up, my call for you is to check out @UniTerminalExt, give the extension a download, check out their community, and figure out how to get some retroactive rewards (hint, hint).
