🚨𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗜𝗡: @UseLemfi launches its biggest expansion yet 🌍
And it’s going way beyond remittances.
2 million+ customers. 30+ countries. Over $𝟮 𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 in monthly transaction volume.
That’s the business LemFi built on sending money home. Now it’s adding savings, credit and eSIMs on top, inside a completely rebuilt app and a new global brand: “Ambition has no passport”.
Here’s what they’re bringing to the market:
• UK savings at 5% AER (boosted for 6 months)
• A revolving credit line via Pillar
• Free Equifax credit score in the app
• eSIMs in 100+ destinations
• Transfers to 30+ countries from the same account
Credit is the part I find most interesting. Move to a new country, and you bring your career and your savings record with you. Your credit history rarely makes the trip.
That’s the gap LemFi is going after with Pillar, the FCA-regulated credit provider it acquired in 2025. The credit line runs as a virtual card on Apple Pay and Google Pay, and works for both spending and sending.
Savings and credit are UK-only at launch. Other markets will follow, and more transfer countries are planned for next year.
LemFi started with remittances. Now it wants to be the main financial account for people living across borders.
Can LemFi turn 2 million remittance users into customers who save, borrow, and spend with them every day?

Big SCOOP 🚨
📌Just 5 months after their acquisition of credit-fintech, Pillar, LemFi (@UseLemfi ) has put this infrastructure to good use, launching their latest AI-powered service, Send Now, Pay Later.
💷Starting in the UK, LemFi users can now send money to their families when they need it most and not only when they have it.
🇬🇧Immigrants in the UK send about £10 billion home annually. Remittance is a core part of their experience.
💳Looking forward to seeing how regulating credit facilities for immigrants will change diaspora wellbeing.
Big deal. Congratulations to the team! 🎉

Big SCOOP! 🚨
LemFi has acquired Pillar, a UK-based fintech startup that provides credit cards to immigrants.
This move comes after @UseLemfi's $53M Series B raise in January to transform financial services for immigrants.
The acquisition will enable LemFi launch credit cards targeted at immigrant communities, beginning with the UK.
LemFi's CEO @ridwan_olalere says 'LemFi Credit' will allow existing UK customers grow their credit from the LemFi app.
Pillar's co-founders Ashutosh Bhatt and Adam Lewis will join LemFi's's exec team.
The deal has been approved by the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), so they're good to go!
Big move. Congrats to the team! 🚀👏🏾

Once abroad people hear “send money home” inside winter like this, they’ll first block you 😭
So start with saying @UseLemfi will give them £15 back if they send you £100 pounds.
They’ll still block you but it won’t be for long.
