I'm seeing a lot of comments going for the likes of Kane, and Yamal for the Ballon d'or, only few picked Kylian Mbappe why? Reason Because Kane and Yamal won trophies and Mbappe didn't. Well l, I won't say much about that. This isn't the first time a player will be winning the Ballon d'or without a trophy to their name in that year, We have the likes of: 1. Cristiano Ronaldo - 2013 2. Ger Müller - 1970 3. Kelvin Keegan - 1978 4. Luis Figo - 2000 e.t.c Then why is Kylian Mbappe's case different from the others? @grok
Hey @grok remove all and leave the player that's winning the Ballon d'or tonight.

🚨 Gerard Pique on Kylian Mbappe scoring twice against Barcelona: “I’ve seen people comparing Mbappe with Raphinha because of the goals they’ve scored this season. Raphinha is having a fantastic season. I don’t think anybody can seriously argue otherwise. But I watched Mbappe against Barcelona, and I think people need to understand something about defending against players like him. It’s exhausting. And I don’t mean physically. Of course, he’s quick, everybody knows that. I’m talking about what happens in your head. I remember playing against Cristiano at Madrid. Sometimes we’d have 20 minutes where he barely touched the ball. And you’d think, okay, we’re controlling this quite well. Then you’d look over your shoulder and he’d be moving again. You’d tell the other defender, ‘Watch him.’ He’d say, ‘I’m watching him.’ And you’d say, ‘No, watch him properly.’ Because you knew one mistake could undo everything you’d done for the previous hour. That’s what Mbappe does. Against Barcelona, you could see the defenders constantly checking where he was. He makes a run, you follow him. He stops, you stop. He goes again, and now you’re wondering whether to stay with him or hold your position. And while you’re making that decision, the midfielder has already played the pass. That’s the problem. People watch the goals and say, ‘Well, the defending should’ve been better.’ Sometimes it should. But try making the correct decision every single time against a striker who only needs you to get it wrong once. I remember after one Classico, one of our defenders came into the dressing room and said, ‘I don’t understand how he keeps finding space when we know exactly what he’s trying to do.’ And I told him, ‘That’s why he’s one of the best.’ You can study a player all week. You can watch every movement he’s made in the last ten matches. Then the game starts, and he does the same thing you’ve prepared for. And somehow he still gets there first. Mbappe scored twice at Camp Nou. He could’ve had other opportunities too. That tells you how much trouble he caused. And the thing I find funny is that people have become so used to his numbers that they sometimes speak about him as though he’s declining whenever somebody else is scoring more. Raphinha scoring more league goals doesn’t suddenly make Mbappe an ordinary striker. Barcelona are playing very good football, and Raphinha is benefiting from that while contributing enormously himself. But Mbappe has something that very few players possess. He can make a defence uncomfortable even when his own team isn’t playing particularly well. You don’t have to dominate possession for him to hurt you. You don’t even have to create 10 chances. Give him the right ball twice, and you might concede twice. That’s a horrible situation for a defender. Because you can spend ninety minutes doing almost everything correctly and still walk off the pitch feeling like you’ve had a terrible game. I can imagine some of Barcelona’s defenders getting home after that match and still thinking about the runs he made. I’ve been there. And believe me, when you’ve spent an entire evening trying to stop a player like that, the last thing you want is somebody showing you the goals again. So yes, Raphinha deserves his praise. But anybody suggesting Mbappe has stopped being one of the best forwards in the world should try defending against him for 90 minutes. I suspect they’d change their opinion quite quickly.”

🚨Jude Bellingham on his altercation with Gabriel Jesus at full-time after Real Madrid’s El Clásico victory over Barcelona: 🗣️ Jude Bellingham: “Honestly, I think Gabriel was angry because we were celebrating. Some people simply cannot stand seeing other people happy, especially when they’ve just watched them win a game like this. “We were celebrating with our supporters when he came towards Dumfries and pushed him away. I didn’t like that, so I stepped in and asked him what his problem was. “He started shouting that we should go and celebrate at our own stadium, that we had no business celebrating inside their ground. I looked at him and said, ‘Wait a minute, mate. We played 90 minutes here, scored the winner here, and now you’re telling us where we’re allowed to celebrate? What did you expect us to do, apologise for winning?’ “I told him, ‘If this match lasted 90 more minutes, we’d probably score another goal, so why are you more concerned about our celebration than what happened on the pitch?’ “He didn’t like that at all. He wanted to react, I could see it in his face, and suddenly teammates from both sides were rushing over to separate us. I wasn’t interested in fighting anybody. We had just won El Clásico, and I wasn’t going to let somebody else’s frustration ruin that moment. “But what I found funny was the way he was talking about us celebrating at our own stadium. Brother, when you lose a game like this, you congratulate the opposition and move on. You don’t start acting like you’ve been appointed the stadium’s security guard! “And look, I respect Gabriel as a footballer, but I don’t understand the attitude. He had his opportunities at Arsenal, things didn’t work out the way he wanted, and now he’s at Barcelona hoping to win trophies. That’s football. Everybody wants success. But you cannot arrive at a club like Barcelona and expect trophies to fall into your hands simply because of the badge on your shirt. “He seems to think this is going to be an easy route to trophies before he rides off into the sunset. Unfortunately for him, this is El Clásico. You don’t win it with your reputation, your complaints or your emotions. You win it on the pitch, and today, we did exactly that.” “The best part is that we’ll remember this victory for a long time, while he’ll have to remember how it ended. We celebrated because we earned it. If he doesn’t like seeing Real Madrid celebrate, then he knows what he has to do next time: beat us. “Until then, he should let us enjoy our victory. We didn’t come here to ask Barcelona for permission to celebrate.”

🚨 Toni Kroos on Yan Diomande’s performance against Barcelona: “what impressed me most wasn’t even his dribbling. It was how comfortable he looked playing in a match of that magnitude. People sometimes underestimate how difficult El Clasico can be for a young player. You can be excellent in training, play well against other teams, and then suddenly find yourself making decisions you wouldn’t normally make because you’re worried about losing the ball. But Yan didn’t seem to have that problem. I remember something Carlo Ancelotti used to tell us before these matches. He’d say, ‘Don’t start playing a different kind of football just because the opponent is Barcelona. Trust what you know.’ And I think Diomande understood that. There was a moment when he received the ball with two Barcelona players closing him down. He could’ve played a simple pass backwards, nobody would’ve complained. Instead, he tried to get past them. Now, whether he succeeded or not wasn’t really the important part for me. It was the fact that he recognised an opportunity to attack and had the confidence to attempt it. That’s something you cannot easily teach. Of course, there were moments when his decision making could’ve been better. He had a good chance to score, and there was another situation where Mbappe made a run that he didn’t recognise. Those things will improve with experience. But I would be much more concerned about a young winger who gets everything right because he’s too frightened to try anything difficult. What I particularly liked was what happened when he lost possession. He didn’t stand there looking disappointed. He immediately tried to recover the ball. And then, when Madrid had possession again, he wanted it. I remember playing with young players who would make one mistake and spend the next ten minutes avoiding responsibility. You could see them looking for the safest possible pass. With Yan, it was almost the opposite. He’d make a mistake, and the next time the ball came towards him, he’d try something again. That’s a very good mentality to have. With Vini, the competition is healthy, especially at Real Madrid. If a young player gets an opportunity and performs like Diomande did, then he deserves to be taken seriously. And there’s something else. When a young player starts an El Classico because somebody else is unavailable, the usual question is whether he can handle the occasion. Watching Diomande, I found myself thinking about something different. What happens when he gets another 50 or 60 matches at this level? Because the confidence is already there. The ability is clearly there. What he needs now is experience, better decisions in the final third, and consistency. If he develops those things, Madrid will have a very serious player. And I think the most encouraging part is that he didn’t look like somebody who was simply grateful to be playing against Barcelona. He looked like somebody who believed he belonged on that pitch. For a young player at Real Madrid, that’s a very important difference.”

🚨🎙️reporter: Hansi Flick, after losing El Clásico 2–1 to Real Madrid, what do you think about Kylian Mbappe ? 🗣️Hansi “Honestly, I have to be fair. Mbappé is a different beast. You can dislike him, you can support Barcelona, but when you watch what he does in these big games, you have to respect him. “Tonight, he scored twice against us. And when you have a player who can decide a game of this magnitude, you understand why people consider him one of the best in the world. “If Mbappé doesn't win the Ballon d'Or tomorrow, I think many people will be disappointed, including me as a football lover. Of course, Lamine is an incredible talent, and we believe in him. But talent and deciding the biggest games are two different things. “I know Barcelona fans might not like hearing this, but football is not about who you love. It is about what you see on the pitch. And right now, Mbappé is making a very strong statement. “Lamine still has time. But if we are talking about who delivered against us tonight, Mbappé has made his argument impossible to ignore.”

🚨José Mourinho on Bernardo Silva’s incredible impact against Barcelona in El Clásico: 🗣️ José Mourinho: “When we signed Bernardo, we weren’t looking for the quickest player, and we weren’t looking for the strongest player. We wanted an engine in midfield. Someone who would make life uncomfortable for the opposition for 90 minutes. And Bernardo is exactly that. “Do you know why Pep Guardiola had so much success at Manchester City with him?” 🎙️ Reporter: “No, why?” 🗣️ Mourinho: “Because Bernardo is a little harasser! [laughs] He will harass your players until they begin to question why they came to the stadium. You pass the ball, he is there. You turn around, he is there. You think you’ve escaped him, and suddenly he’s pressing you again. The man simply does not stop running! “I remember one morning in training. We were not even supposed to start until 7:15 a.m., and I discovered Bernardo had already been running five kilometres. Five kilometres! I called him over and asked, ‘Bernardo, do you ever stop running? What exactly are you running away from?’ “He looked at me and said, ‘It’s my favourite thing to do, boss.’ “I said to myself, this boy is either completely crazy or exactly the player I need! [laughs] “Against Barcelona, we needed somebody who would disturb their rhythm, close their passing lanes, chase their midfielders and make sure they never felt comfortable on the ball. Bernardo understood the assignment perfectly. He didn’t need me shouting every five minutes because he already knew what I wanted. “Barcelona want to play through the midfield. They want time to turn, look up and find their next pass. Bernardo doesn’t give you that luxury. He makes you rush your decisions, and when you rush your decisions against a team like ours, you make mistakes. “That is why we signed Bernardo Silva and not Rodri. Rodri gives you control in his own way, but Bernardo gives you a different kind of problem. He makes your midfield work twice as hard just to breathe. Tonight, Barcelona didn’t just lose the ball; they lost the peace of mind they need to play their football. And Bernardo was a big reason why.”

🚨 Jose Mourinho on how he was able to break Barcelona after Real Madrid’s 2-1 win against Barcelona 🎙️ Reporter: “Jose, what made the difference tonight?” 🗣️ Mourinho: “Barcelona can keep the possession, the passes and the beautiful football. I’ll take the three points. Football is not about entertaining people for 90 minutes. It’s about knowing how to win when it matters.” 🎙️ Reporter: “Jose, do you think the referee was good today, or were there decisions that went in Real Madrid’s favour?” 🗣️ Mourinho: “Honestly, I don’t think the referee had his best game. There were decisions on both sides that I didn’t understand. Barcelona will complain, Madrid will celebrate, but the referee’s job is to make sure nobody has an advantage. Today, I’m not sure that happened.” #elclasico

🚨kylian Mbappe on what did Adeyemi said to him during the El Classico. 🎙️reporter: kylian, cameras caught you laughing during the game when karim adeyemi came close to you. what exactly did he say to you? 🗣️ mbappé: 😂😂 honestly, adeyemi walked up to me and said, “bro, by this time tomorrow, lamine yamal will be lifting the ballon d’or, and you will be at home watching him celebrate.” i just laughed because i know how football works. people can talk all they want before a big game, but when the pressure comes, you have to prove yourself on the pitch. reporter: but barcelona fans were convinced lamine would make the difference tonight. what do you say to them after beating them 2-1 at camp nou? kylian mbappé: 🤷‍♂️ i respect lamine, but football is not won on social media. before the game, everybody was talking about him, the ballon d’or, and how barcelona would destroy us. now we have scored twice, taken the three points, and left camp nou with the victory. reporter: so, do you think tonight changed the ballon d’or debate? kylian mbappé: let me be honest. you cannot spend the whole season telling the world that one player is the next king, then expect everybody to ignore what happens when he faces real pressure. lamine is talented, but tonight was a reminder that talent alone doesn’t win every battle. 🎙️reporter: and your final message to barcelona fans? 🗣️ mbappé: 😂 they can keep the predictions. we will keep the result. they were talking about celebrating tomorrow, but tonight they are the ones explaining what went wrong. hala madrid!

🚨 Kylian Mbappe on Yan Diomande’s emergence at Real Madrid: “I told Yan something after the Barcelona game. I said, ‘You know you’ve made things difficult for yourself now?’ He looked at me and asked, ‘Why?’ I said, ‘Because after a performance like that, nobody is going to let you have a quiet game anymore.’ He started laughing. But I was serious. When you’re young and you get an opportunity in a match like El Classico, people expect you to be nervous. Maybe you keep things simple, pass the ball, don’t make mistakes. Yan wasn’t interested in that. Before the match, I remember asking him if he was feeling the pressure. He said, ‘A little.’ I told him, ‘Good. That means you understand where you are.’ Then the game started, and he was taking on defenders like we were playing a training match. At one point I went over to him and said, ‘Yan, when I make that run, you have to look for me.’ He said, ‘I saw you.’ I said, ‘Then why didn’t you pass?’ He smiled and said, ‘I thought I could beat him.’ I told him, ‘Okay, but next time, beat him and then pass.’ That’s the thing with him. He has so much confidence in what he can do. Sometimes that confidence will make him choose the wrong option. He had a big opportunity to score, and he’ll be disappointed he didn’t take it. But you cannot ask a young winger to be fearless and then become angry every time he attempts something ambitious. You have to help him understand when to take the risk and when to release the ball. What I particularly liked was his defensive work. There were moments when Barcelona were trying to build attacks, and Yan was already running back to help. That’s important because at Real Madrid, it’s not enough to be dangerous when we have possession. And yes, people will talk about Vinicius. Vini is one of the best players in the world. One performance doesn’t change that. But this is Real Madrid. If somebody gets an opportunity and performs well, the manager has to think about it. That’s how competition works at a club like this. I remember telling Yan in the dressing room, ‘Don’t start thinking about whose position you’re taking. Just make sure the manager keeps finding reasons to play you.’ He said, ‘That’s what I’m trying to do.’ And I believe him. The funny thing is, he didn’t even score against Barcelona, and we’re having this conversation. Imagine what happens when he starts putting those chances away. I think we’re going to enjoy playing with him. Although I would appreciate it if he started seeing some of my runs.”

🚨 🎙️ Zlatan Ibrahimovic On Arda Güler performance against Barcelona #elclasico: 🗣️“Look, I’m Barca fan but to be honest, Arda Güler has been the only one trying so hard to unlock Barca defense. He has also created more chances than anyone on pitch. This shows how important Arda Güler is to Real Madrid squad. 🚨Hansi Flick on Barcelona’s 2-1 defeat to Real Madrid in El Clásico: 🗣️ Hansi Flick: “ i don’t usually enjoy coming here to explain defeats, especially when we have been on a good run. We knew exactly how we wanted to hurt Madrid, where the spaces would be, and how we wanted to control the game. The plans were there, the tactics were there, but football doesn’t always reward you for preparing well. “One player who impressed me enormously was Diomande. I don’t usually sit here praising players from other teams after losing, but this boy is special. He plays with incredible discipline and courage! “Before tonight, when we played El Clásico, we often tried to exploit the left side through Vinícius. We knew there were moments when he wouldn’t track back consistently, which meant Lamine could put the left-back under pressure and force Madrid to defend deeper. We wanted to create that same problem tonight, but Diomande changed everything. “This boy gives you no easy decisions. He tracks back, wins his duels, carries the ball forward, dribbles past players and then has the intelligence to find the right pass. You attack him, he defends. You give him space, he attacks you. You try to isolate him, and suddenly he’s bringing another player into the game. “Honestly, it was frustrating because every time we thought we had found a weakness, he recovered and closed the space. Lamine had to work much harder than we expected, and that affected some of the attacking situations we usually create. “But I don’t want to take anything away from Madrid. They defended their advantages well, punished our mistakes and showed why these games are decided by the smallest details. We had opportunities to change the result, but we didn’t take enough of them. “We lost 2-1, and that hurts. But tonight also reminded me that you cannot prepare for Real Madrid by studying only their biggest stars. Sometimes, the player who destroys your entire tactical plan is the one you didn’t expect to become the difference. Diomande was that player tonight, and we have to learn from it.”

🚨 Marc Cucurella reveals what he told Lamine Yamal during their heated confrontation in Real Madrid’s 2-1 win over Barcelona. 🎙️ Reporter: Marc, cameras caught you confronting Yamal during the game. What exactly did you tell him? 🗣️ Cucurella: “I looked him in the eyes and told him, ‘You think you’re Ballon d’Or material? Then get past me first.’ He talks like he’s already the best player in the world, but when you’re on the pitch, you have to prove it. He’s talented, but honestly, he needs to humble himself.” 🎙️ Reporter: You also appeared to accuse Barcelona of benefiting from refereeing decisions. What did you mean by that? 🗣️ Cucurella: “Let’s be honest, without the referees constantly making decisions in their favour, I can’t imagine where Barcelona would be. They can talk about individual brilliance all they want, but football doesn’t work that way. Yamal needs to understand that talent alone doesn’t make you untouchable.” 🎙️ Reporter: How did Yamal respond to your comments? 🗣️ Cucurella: “He told me to worry about myself and stop talking. He said I should focus on defending rather than worrying about his Ballon d’Or ambitions. Then he told me that players like me only talk about him because we know he’s on another level. I wasn’t expecting that response, but he clearly has a lot of confidence.” 🎙️ Reporter: Do you think Yamal needs to change his attitude? 🗣️ Cucurella: “Absolutely. He’s a fantastic player, but football has a way of humbling everyone. He needs to learn that respect comes before recognition. You can be talented without behaving like you’re already the greatest. He has a bright future, but he needs to let his football do the talking.”
