🗣️ Wilcox has appointed 2 managers within two seasons, both with contrasting styles, and failed to back either.
Has anyone at the club asked him “what is YOUR PLAN, Jason? What identity have you set for the club? We’re on the brink of sacking our SEVENTH manager, what’s your next move? You want Eddie Howe? Ok, what are your reasons? How will you do things differently to make sure he doesn’t end up being the 8th sacked manager next October?”
If he feels he isn’t being given the tools to do his job properly, he should resign. That’s what a top executive would do. He has no connection to the club like Carrick does, and I’m sure he doesn’t partially care for us either. So it’s hardly like he’d be giving up on the club he owes everything to. Nobody would blame him. In fact he’d have the backing of the fans for standing up.
But he won’t, because he knows that no top club in the world would be stupid enough to offer him such a position.
