SB 159—which prohibits transcript withholding as a form of debt collection for students attending our public colleges and universities—passed out of the full Senate. Now, it makes its way through the House!

I've made immediate changes to internal OAG policy, which will cut in half collection fees assessed on overdue state student debt. As someone who worked to put themself through college and still has student loans, I understand the strain they can put on working families.
