This is a general issue we are seeing in chennai- growth of juvenile violence led by social media reels culture and most if not all of them are youth followers of @actorvijay . Everyday stabbing , increased eve teasing , gangs all on the rise under @TVKVijayHQ . @CMOTamilnadu should come out openly criticizing this culture and give strong power to police to curtail violence. You can see juvenile rowdies on bikes in besant beach teasing girls and saying ithu enga thalapathi achi; ithu enga achi . CM needs to speak up on it. @omjasvinMD
Been saying that for 30 years . Problem is Canadian businesses and politicians are not ambitious or can think global when the world’s biggest market is next door and we got too comfortable and lazy. We don’t make for canada or the world, we make for US. That is changing now .

Asian-Americans in Harvard’s Incoming Class More Than Double, to 43.2 Percent
Newly released data on the Harvard College class of 2030 say the class is 43.2 percent Asian-American, a record high and more than double the level when Students for Fair Admissions first sued Harvard alleging racial discrimination in admissions.
The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in 2023 that Harvard was unlawfully using race as a factor in admissions. Since then, the numbers of Hispanic and black students in the incoming Harvard classes have dipped, while the numbers of Asian-Americans have soared.

IMHO we will be stupid to not have learnt our lessons and have a solid plan B . Today it was Trump tomorrow it can be another nut case . We are still going to have US as our largest defence and trading partner; we just to bring that from 70-80% to 40-50% . Turkey is a weird choice ; beyond being NATO , can’t figure why. Q and T are MB hubs and new age axis of evil threat to west , esp Europe. UAE I think is great ; progressive of the bunch, Abhrahams accord close to india and Israel and can be a strategic ME geo political and trading ally.
IMHO EU is going to build an alternative to many things as simple as Microsoft Teams to reduce reliance on US. Canada can be a partner on JVs where we see fit esp for Aerospace , satellites, defense manufacturing where we manufacture for our self needs but also for the world, which is where countries like UAE, India , Japan , S.korea etc come to play. Everyone will continue to trade with US , but lesser and having alternatives means the super expensive US stuff gets cheaper too.

Not even counting the 15% of students who are international admits.
White numbers not reported, they seem to have stayed constant or gone down.
Merit is back. Nativists will have to start a new movement to bring back DEI.

They want more immigrants bcos builders, grocery chains, banks, telecoms, literally every business assn is lobbying for it so that they can get more customers , more demand , more revenues and more jobs . It’s a circular economy that when the tap of immigrants stops , our economy chokes and everyone panics and wants to open the flood gates .
