On Tuesday the government released their ‘Good Food Cycle’ policy paper for their food strategy.
The paper identifies ten priority outcomes needed to build a thriving food sector, including upholding trade standards.
We need to keep the pressure on so that fair imports stays at the top of their list.

In January 2024, we laid out 133 pairs of pink wellies in Westminster Square. It represented the number of farming lives lost to suicide in just one year.
Despite the brilliant work done by the groups we meet at farming events like @SOBScharity, @FCNcharity, @dpjfoundation, @yellowwelliesuk, @yanafarming, @PAPYRUS_Charity and many others, poor mental health remains an ongoing challenge in the farming community.
Last year, we ran four charity half-marathons, and we will be announcing which charity we are donating to shortly. So far nearly £6,000 has been raised.
