Arsenal on a Sunday afternoon does wonders for my afternoon nap game!! Can we have this every week? When was the last time any Arsenal fan thought “we played lovely football today?” So incredibly dull. Tactics - make the game boring & take advantage of a £400m bench 🥱

Couldn't be more clear... do Mendes a favour by going for Leao and pushing up his pay packed and then... 2 minutes later... Mbaye bomba!!! Much happier with this!!

People are entitled to their opinons, but 6 yrs of being almost always available - peak fitness, great professionalism, head down & always ultimately delivering - is not gonna be erased by one mistake. It might be old in football, but 30 is still young as a man. Thanks Ollie #UTV

Bump regarding Palhinha
I get the sense that Palhinha is more likely to go to Benfica - think that was the plan post-Spurs and he’d need a lot of convincing. Still think Ndiaye is going to enter conversation soon, should rogers leave. Mbaye seems difficult - city and dortmund seem more likely UTV

It seems most likely Savinho > Sours, Mbaye > City. Summerville is still an option, despite seemingly getting closer to Roma. Think we’ll push for him. I think next week, we start hearing more links to Ndiaye

Summerville is still being pursued. Feeling we can get him ahead of Roma. Mbaye, Ndiaye, Barnes all names being looked at too. We want two wingers.

🚨 Manchester United and Aston Villa have contacted Everton over a move for Iliman Ndiaye. United cannot progress until Marcus Rashford leaves, while Villa are also pursuing the 26-year-old. Everton could demand around £70M for Ndiaye, who scored six Premier League goals last season. (Source: @FabrizioRomano)

Football wins! Argentina have become a caricature of themselves. Performative, gutless, anti-football. Some nice moments during this World Cup, but Argies have just turned off the newcomers. Viva Espana 🏆

Bailey to Hull is more likely to be a loan at this point. Talk of a £15m bid is wide of the mark.

It’s ok, Arsenal… you can still prepare a bid for Konsa 😂 UTV!! Have loves watching Rogers when on form, but £117m is an insane amount for a player who has been so hot and cold. Excited to see how he partners up with Palmer - could be an insane partnership and great for England

So far in this window... Villa and Spurs - dominating negotiations. Arsenal - acting uncertain and weak. Newcastle - the bridesmaids.

The top class wingers Villa are pursuing are Mbaye and Summerville, with the hope of getting both not just one. Ndiaye is also highly regarded. There will be two winger bombas in the coming week or 2, not just one.

If Villa can’t pull Mbaye off, fully expect Ndiaye interest to ramp up. Bowen will be priced out now they already have their Fernandes money. Much prefer Mbaye and Ndiaye - UTV

On the wild Manzambi rumours, it’s important to understand the tribal/regionalised nature of the Rwanda/DRC conflict. It’s mainly an overspill of the Tutsi/Hutu conflict & has also now dragged in a number of tribes in the border regions (east DRC). Manzambi is a Kikongo-derived..

name, which suggests his Father is of Bakongo heritage. This also makes sense, given that his mother is Angolan & this group of people straddle that border (in the west). This means they are from an area of DRC thats 1000s of miles from the conflict (& impacted tribes/regions).

It would be far more likely that an individual would have strong anti-Rwandan sentiment if their heritage was from the more directly impacted areas. DRC gov is also not roundly supported & thus most oppose the conflict as a whole, rather than having a strong anti-Rwanda stance.
