One thing I’m watching in crypto this week isn't the price of Bitcoin. It's how many other coins are actually holding up. A market-breadth snapshot from October 25 showed only 18% of a defined universe of liquid crypto assets trading above their 50-day moving averages. The median coin was down 17.5% over 30 days. That tells a different story from watching a few large-cap coins and assuming the whole market is recovering. And the differences between sectors matter too. Some assets are holding up better than others. That makes it more important to look at where strength is appearing, rather than treating every altcoin as one trade. My takeaway? A market recovery becomes more convincing when participation broadens. Until then, a few green charts aren't enough to call it a comeback.

When we talk about bringing real-world assets onchain, the conversation often focuses on the assets themselves. But there’s another important part of the picture: how ownership is recorded and managed. That’s one of the problems @fairmint is working on. Fairmint is building infrastructure that allows company equity to be recorded onchain, with the official shareholder register maintained by an SEC-registered transfer agent. In simple terms, it brings the record of who owns a company’s shares onto blockchain infrastructure. Why does this matter? Traditional equity records often rely on separate systems and databases. Fairmint’s approach is designed to make the ownership record itself work onchain, creating a foundation for other financial applications to build on. The project is also developing the Open Cap Table Protocol (OCP), an open standard for onchain equity. What I find interesting about this approach is that tokenization isn’t just about putting an asset on a blockchain. The infrastructure behind ownership matters too. Fairmint is one project worth watching as onchain equity infrastructure develops.

There needs to be more awareness around this. I’m starting to see chains and issuers throwing around numbers about how many people hold their assets, when the data they’re quoting is actually wallet addresses. One person can have multiple wallets, hold across multiple chains, or use several platforms. I’m all for celebrating growth and adoption, but we need to be careful with how these numbers are presented. 100k wallets doesn’t automatically mean 100k people. There’s a difference, and it’s important people understand it.
A quick note on RWA data. When we, and most data platforms, say "holders", that means wallets, not individual people. - One person can hold several wallets
 - One exchange wallet can hold for thousands of people
 - Dust wallets with a few cents still count - So holder growth shows activity, not exactly how many new people are using a product. Keep it in mind next time you see a big holder number.

Tokenized stocks were the first step. The next step is already happening - where builders are taking stock tokens from different issuers and turning them into things your broker could never offer. I have highlighted 13 of them 🧵.

Give companies 30 days to evaluate an unfamiliar trading model, and objections shouldn't be surprising. Today's pitch focuses on investors. Issuers need to see the benefits too: better capital formation, ownership management and shareholder servicing. coindesk.com/business/2026/1…

Another week in RWAs! Three developments stood out immediately: • SEC grants a 5-year Innovation Exemption allowing permissioned AMM venues to trade tokenized US stocks onchain • @coinbase's tokenized stocks on Base pass $1B in DEX trading volume within their first month • @arbitrum adds $110M in tokenized fund value in just 7 days From regulation → to trading activity → to capital flows. Tokenized markets are starting to develop their own infrastructure. 1️⃣ Tokenized stocks are starting to trade like markets • @coinbase's tokenized stocks on Base cross $1B in DEX volume in their first month • Tokenized stock holders cross 4M • @RobinhoodApp and @binance bStocks each reach around 1.3M holders • @xStocksFi reaches 611K holders • @Ondo reaches 446.6K holders The important number here is the growing number of people actually holding and trading them. 2️⃣ Regulation is starting to open the door • SEC grants a 5-year Innovation Exemption for permissioned AMM venues • Ondo joins DTCC Fund/SERV as the first tokenization company • @edeldotfinance joins DTCC's Digital Assets Solutions Industry Working Group • Ondo signs an MOU with Openmarkets to bring tokenized securities to Australia The regulatory conversation is gradually shifting from whether tokenized securities can exist to how they can operate within regulated market infrastructure. 3️⃣ Tokenized funds are attracting capital • Arbitrum adds $110M in tokenized fund value over 7 days • @arbitrum One leads overall growth with +$180.7M • @avax adds +$92.5M • The top five chains add a combined +$319.1M • @Uniswap adds $83M in tokenized stock DeFi TVL over 30 days Capital is beginning to move toward the chains and protocols where tokenized assets can actually be used. 4️⃣ Treasuries and credit continue expanding onchain • @centrifuge brings tokenized Treasuries, AAA CLOs and high-yield bonds to @XLayerOfficial • @OpenEden_X brings TBILL and HYBOND to @BNBCHAIN • @plumenetwork's Nest brings $1B+ in institutional RWA vaults to Arc • @ClearpoolFin expands institutional credit onto XRPL • @humafinance's PST goes live on @arc Treasuries → structured credit → high-yield bonds → institutional lending. Tokenization is reaching deeper into the fixed-income and credit stack. 5️⃣ Tokenized assets are becoming more composable • xStocks Vaults go live on Kraken with autocompounded yield on SPYx, QQQx and NVDAx • @AssetoFinance brings NGI+ to @pendle_fi for fixed and yield token trading • @ClutchMarkets launches Smart LP Vaults on Arbitrum • rTokens stocks by @bitget go live on Arbitrum • @OpenstockInc goes live on BNB Chain Once tokenized stocks and funds can generate yield, provide liquidity, or enter other financial markets, the asset becomes programmable financial infrastructure. Final Takeaways This week's developments reinforce a bigger shift: ~ Tokenized stocks are reaching meaningful trading volume and user adoption ~ Regulation is beginning to accommodate onchain securities markets ~ Tokenized funds are attracting significant capital across multiple chains ~ Treasuries and credit are expanding across new networks ~ Tokenized assets are becoming increasingly composable We're moving from: "Can this asset be tokenized?" to: "What financial markets can we build around it?" That is where the RWA market gets much more interesting. We break down the biggest RWA developments every week. Follow @d_rwastoryhouse for RWA & tokenization insights.
Another week in RWAs! Three developments stood out immediately: • @MeteoraAG enables token launches paired with 100+ @xStocksFi • @Visa stablecoin settlement hits a $20B run rate across 160+ card programs • @Nasdaq Ventures invests $100M in @Payward, parent company of @xStocksFi From onchain markets → to stablecoin payments → to institutional capital. Stocks are becoming building blocks for other onchain markets. 2️⃣ Institutional capital is moving behind tokenization • Nasdaq Ventures invests $100M in Payward, parent company of xStocks • xStocks targets Q2 2027 for equity tokens • xStocks goes live on Wintermute OTC as derivatives collateral • Pre-IPO assets go live on LONG The market is moving from institutions watching tokenization to institutions putting capital and infrastructure behind it. 3️⃣ Stablecoins are becoming payment infrastructure • Visa stablecoin settlement reaches a $20B run rate • More than 160 card programs are using stablecoin settlement • XStable brings tokenized gold, silver, platinum and FX markets to Sui Stablecoins are increasingly becoming more than crypto-native payment tools. They're becoming settlement infrastructure for financial activity. 4️⃣ Tokenized assets are becoming usable across DeFi • Pendle launches tokenized dividend markets for NVDA and PFE stock tokens • xStocks become collateral for derivatives on Wintermute OTC • Meteora supports stocks and RWAs as quote assets • Valinor launches a tokenized BDC basket for private credit exposure Tokenization isn't just creating a digital representation of an asset. It's giving that asset utility inside financial markets. Yield → collateral → trading → liquidity. 5️⃣ Private credit continues moving onchain • Plume launches FACTOR, a working capital vault targeting 14%+ APY • Zamanat Digital launches ZM1, a DIFC-regulated tokenized credit fund targeting $100M • Valinor brings a private credit BDC basket onchain • Hanwha Investment & Securities builds a tokenized securities platform on Avalanche Private credit continues to look like one of the more important RWA categories. Tokenization can improve how these assets are distributed, accessed, and used. Final Takeaways This week's developments reinforce a bigger shift: ~ Tokenized equities are becoming building blocks for onchain markets ~ Stablecoins are scaling as payment and settlement infrastructure ~ Institutions are putting serious capital behind tokenization ~ Credit and private markets continue moving onchain ~ RWAs are becoming more useful across DeFi and financial infrastructure We're moving from: "Tokenize the asset." to: "Make the asset useful once it's onchain." That's where the next phase of RWA adoption gets interesting. We break down the biggest RWA developments every week. Follow @d_rwastoryhouse for RWA & tokenization insights.

The weekend left a few clues about where RWAs are heading. On Thursday, @JPMorganAM Asset Management expanded access to its tokenized money-market funds on Solana. Then on Friday, the sec @SECGov named tokenization among the areas it will examine as it looks at risks in financial-market infrastructure. And over the weekend, the @SolanaInstitute asked the SEC to clarify what should count as a permissionless ledger when it comes to tokenized stock trading. Three developments, but one thing stands out to me. Tokenization is moving beyond the question of whether an asset can be put onchain. Institutions are bringing more products onto public networks, while regulators and industry participants are still working through the rules those markets need to operate under. And that matters. A tokenized fund available on a public blockchain is one thing. A market where different participants can trade tokenized securities under clear, workable rules is another. The technology can keep moving forward, but the market also needs clarity around how it operates. That’s the part of the RWA story I’ll be watching this week.

Hybrid tokenized stocks also create a new reconciliation problem. Tokens move onchain, but the official shareholder register stays offchain. Two records to keep in sync. We're bringing the authoritative register onchain to remove that extra reconciliation.
Reconciliation across financial markets costs the industry an estimated $130 billion a year. Roughly $40 trillion in assets sit idle because of the friction involved in moving them. Canton is built to take that friction to zero. @YuvalRooz | TOKEN2049

Have you ever wondered what your community really thinks about you? Think about it. Your community sends 1,000 messages every day, but how many can you actually read? Do you know what people are saying about your project, meme, or app? The more conversations you miss, the more disconnected you become from the very people you're building for. Your community feels ignored, while you're struggling to keep up with the messages. And that's the problem @Vibewatch_io is trying to solve $STX

Imagine using crypto without making every transaction a public announcement. 👀 That’s the idea behind STRK20 on @Starknet. Normally when you send crypto on a public blockchain, people can often check the transaction and see the sender, receiver and amount. STRK20 is designed to change that for supported private transfers. Here’s how it works 👇 1. Shield your assets You move tokens from your public balance into a shielded pool. Your private balance is then represented by encrypted records rather than an openly visible balance. 2. Send privately Within the pool, you can send supported tokens without publicly revealing the sender, receiver or transfer amount to ordinary blockchain observers. Zero-knowledge proofs help the network verify that the transaction is valid without exposing those details. 3. Privacy in your wallet Bramble is a Starknet wallet launched in October 2026 that supports STRK20 privacy features. It lets users manage their assets and access shielded balances from a Chrome side panel. But here’s the important part: Privacy does not mean every action disappears from the blockchain. Deposits and withdrawals can still reveal details, and certain information may be available for legitimate compliance reviews. The bigger goal is to make privacy part of everyday crypto use rather than forcing people to choose between privacy and DeFi. Would you feel more comfortable using crypto if your balance and transfers weren’t visible to everyone?
93.52% voted YES. But @Starknet isn’t leaving Ethereum just yet. 👀 Starknet wants to prepare for a future where quantum computers could break some of the cryptography protecting crypto wallets today. Think of it this way: the locks protecting your crypto are built on mathematical problems that today’s computers struggle to solve. Powerful quantum computers could eventually solve some of those problems much faster. Starknet is exploring ways to upgrade its security before that becomes a serious threat. But there’s a challenge. Starknet currently relies on Ethereum for parts of its security. Becoming an independent Layer 1 could give it more control over how it prepares for that future. So what did the vote decide? The community voted to research the idea, not to leave Ethereum immediately. Any actual move would need further proposals and approval. The big question now is: can Starknet prepare for the quantum era while maintaining strong security? That’s what the research needs to answer. #Starknet #Web3

between now and the end of november, @grvt_io is rolling out five upgrades that turn a perpetual dex into a full onchain investing app what stands out to me is the sequence they chose for the road to grvt 2.0 — step one is already done with 1.1 million grvt bought on the open market and permanently burned, close to 1 percent of circulating supply at the time, with future rounds intended monthly and discretionary on a public dashboard — step two at the end of october is grvt earn, bringing the 161 trillion dollar fixed income market onchain with target yields of up to 11 percent, not guaranteed, paid from real fixed income cash flows and glp with no lockups — step three in november is stable funding perps for stocks, foreign exchange, commodities, and indices with zero trading fees and once daily funding, aiming for over 1,000 markets by december 2026 — step four in november is yield as margin, the upgrade i am watching most, so eligible earn balances can back trades while still earning yield instead of sitting idle — step five at the end of november is the redesigned grvt 2.0 app uniting everything into one self custodial balance alongside their 2027 roadmap starting with a verifiable onchain burn before shipping yield as margin and multi asset trading is how you build real trust before a major product launch
