Like many other large firms,@Disney spent the last two decades pursuing growth via acquisitions (Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, and 21st Century Fox). The company's lackluster performance, and Iger's troubles in reviving it, shows this playbook no longer works. It's high time Disney went back to its roots, focusing more on creativity and less on rehashing tired ideas at scale.
