Crime in broad daylight. Report violations of the Hatch Act here: osc.gov/services/hatch-act/f…
This is a picture of me and Vivek Ramaswamy. We took this picture together at Mar Largo after his Presidential run but before his Ohio Governor run. I, like Vivek and Vice President Vance, am from Cincinnati, Ohio. My youngest brother is still a pastor at a church in Cincinnati. I went to Anderson High School and the University of Cincinnati. While I went to UC, I lived in Clifton (the area around UC). The downtown bars were only 15 minutes away from Clifton, but to get to them, you had to travel through very poor neighborhoods (this was before Uber). As college students, we knew bad things would happen if we wandered in the wrong place at the wrong time. It was known. That’s what happened in July of 2025 when a single white mother of a special needs child, known in the media only as Holly, wandered onto Elm Street in downtown Cincy after leaving a birthday party. She walked into a part of the city that has always been a problem and was beat within an inch of her life – severe brain injury and facial fractures. As she recovered in the hospital, no city officials spoke or reached out to her because this behavior has been normalized there. Of note, Cincinnati has self-described as a “sanctuary city” since 2017 when the city council passed a measure to adopt the name in defiance of Trump’s first Presidency. This phrase has been repeated by other leaders including the previous Mayor. When President Trump in 2025 came back into office and initially placed Cincinnati on a list of sanctuary cities, Vice Mayor Kearney issued a statement saying, “We stand in support of our immigrant community and all residents of Cincinnati. We are not obligated to use our local resources for federal initiatives.” Sanctuary City is essentially a declaration that local leadership will be soft on crime and inconsistent on the enforcement of federal laws – specifically in connection with illegal immigration. This is an accepted policy of Democrats tolerated by soft Republican leadership (the ones who feel obligated to appease liberals). Vivek was the only person with enough leadership to initially confront the assault on Holly in Ohio. I was proud of him, and asked myself if I would have been brave enough to confront the assault, competing world views, and racism. He held town halls with HOSTILE crowds, spoke about the need for law and order, and visited Holly in the hospital. His attention forced the Cincinnati police and mayor to do their job. It was the first time I remembered a leader in Cincy attacking the hard issue. Imagine what he could do if he was the Governor. Vivek is a fighter. He will walk into hostile crowds and be the leader we need for the common sense conservative movement. Vote Republican.

WATCH: This is the moment Jet2 Boeing 737-800 (G-JZHE), operating flight EXS4FX from Venice, veered off the runway at Birmingham Airport. Looking closely, it appears the aircraft was heading off the runway for some time before correcting, but it was too late. Footage captured via Airport Action livestream. Link on first comment.

In a shocking development which anyone with the IQ of a rather slow gerbil could have predicted, a decent amount of cash has been immolated in the course of not finding Amelia Earhart's Lockheed Electra where the conspiracy theorists thought it was. The idiot naïfs who thought they failed to find a tiny island rising 20 feet above the ocean, and consequently ran out of fuel, ditched and sank, have won this one./1 reuters.com/lifestyle/search…

Exactly
The cool part about this is how you omitted the fact not one fucking reporter asked at the time how he planned to do any of this stuff.

For a generation that grew up reading 1984, The Lottery, Brave New World, Fahrenheit 451, There Will Come Soft Rains and *gestures to Vonnegut in general* we are pretty bloody useless at recognising, and trying to stop, the end of everything.

Lots of $ has been raised and spent over the decades, but some simple backstory. - Vanishing without trace was an occupational hazard of long-distance record flying in that era. Mermoz, Kingsford Smith, Nungesser-Coli. - Charts left in Australia show that navigator Fred Noonan's accuracy was not all that. - But previous overwater segments of the flight made landfall on charted coasts so that did not matter too much. Flying to Howland Island it mattered a lot.
