Interesting comparison between traditional physical scarcity and premium digital collectibles.
We are working non-stop to resolve this issue. Binance will cover all losses.
As a precaution, all deposits and withdrawals are temporarily suspended while our team conducts security checks, freezes funds, and works with law enforcement.
We are working around the clock and will share a full post-mortem once the investigation is complete. Please rely only on official Binance channels for updates.
This is an industry-wide effort, and we are grateful to partners across the ecosystem who have moved quickly to help freeze affected assets.

🚨‼️ BREAKING 🚫 BINANCE!! 🚒 What if self-custody & interoperability actually made your digital collectibles MORE vulnerable?
For years, the NFT community has criticized @veve_official for its walled-garden ecosystem. No unrestricted transfers to external wallets. No complete freedom to move your collectibles wherever you want. But what if those restrictions are actually one of VeVe’s greatest strengths?
Think about the security problems we’ve seen across cryptocurrency & NFTs. Wallets compromised. Private keys stolen. Phishing attacks. Marketplace exploits. Millions, sometimes billions, of dollars lost. OpenSea, MetaMask, Ledger, & major cryptocurrency exchanges have all faced security challenges in one form or another.
Now imagine a completely hypothetical scenario. What if Bitcoin existed within a controlled ecosystem where every individual Bitcoin had a uniquely identifiable serial number? And what if Bitcoin’s creator told you: “If your Bitcoin is ever stolen, we can investigate the transaction, identify your specific asset, freeze it, & potentially restore your ownership.” Would that make you feel safer? Would you sacrifice some interoperability for the possibility of recovering an asset worth $100,000? What about a digital collectible worth $1 million?
Now apply that same thinking to VeVe. Every collectible has a unique mint number. Every transaction takes place within a controlled marketplace. The platform maintains records of ownership & transfers. In principle, that creates opportunities for security measures, fraud investigations, account restrictions, & potentially restoring stolen collectibles that would be much more difficult in a fully decentralized ecosystem.
Of course, there’s a trade-off. Self-custody gives you greater independence & control. A walled garden requires you to trust the company operating it. That company must protect its infrastructure, honor ownership rights, remain financially viable, & establish clear policies for recovering stolen assets. Neither model eliminates risk.
But here’s the question I think the NFT community should seriously consider:

What if the future isn’t about choosing between a walled garden & complete decentralization, but combining the freedom of blockchain ownership with the security & accountability of a managed collecting ecosystem?
As VeVe moves toward offering collectors that choice, I’m curious where everyone stands.
Will you choose self-custody?
And now, with VeVe’s migration to @CollectChain, things are getting even more interesting. VeVe is moving toward optional self-custody & greater interoperability on a blockchain designed specifically for digital collectibles.
What if the future of premium digital collecting isn’t about giving everyone unrestricted control over transferring their assets? What if it’s about creating the safest possible environment for owning, collecting, displaying, & trading them?
Because if I owned a digital collectible worth $500,000, knowing that the company behind it could potentially help recover it if stolen would be an enormous selling point. And it makes me wonder… What if VeVe had it right this entire time? 👇
Now that 5+ BILLION 💰 has been HACKED from Binance, will you choose self-custody @veve_official ?

This is not just a crypto hack.
It's a warning for the entire web.
Banks, governments, hospitals, payment apps..
We've just witnessed firsthand that all of it runs on code that can be exploited.
Security is about to become the most important industry in the world.
