1. Very impressive & educative session for military and political leadership on the new, incoming Concept of Warfare and the steps involved to prepare ourselves for autonomous war fighting forces. Compared to this, our present military doctrines & tactics appear quite antiquate.
General David Petraeus’s session at the @ndtv World Summit should be compulsory viewing for anyone interested in India’s national security and defence preparedness.
The former CIA Director warns that traditional military doctrines and tactics are already obsolete. Modern warfare is being transformed in months, not years. While India struggles to operationalise theatre commands, China is rapidly absorbing the lessons of Ukraine’s drone revolution. We are simply not moving fast enough.
Here’s the full session. Highly recommended viewing.

An extremely talented and inspiring person. Our best wishes! Kudos to everyone who supported and encouraged her and enabled her to become such an inspiration.

In 2019, 11 RR (DOGRA) @Whiteknight_IA noticed Sheetal's extraordinary spirit & adopted her. By May 2020, she became part of various Sadbhavana activities organized for youth. Her inspiring journey caught attention of Mrs Meghna Girish @megirish2001, who took the initiative to get Sheetal artificial hands.

Once more, India has dodged a bullet.
Perhaps it's instructive to recall Dr S. Radhakrishnan's witty but farsighted remark to former Canadian PM Lester Pearson: "In the end, diplomacy is neither an art nor a science. It is merely a dodge."
Thank you for this post. With you. S+4 concept must not be applied in old HUDA sectors. infrastructure created long ago, environment & privacy issues do not support this. Affects quality of life adversely.
Over 32,000 Stilt+4 approvals in Gurugram over 7 years. But are we getting the basics of urban governance right?
Hon’ble @mlkhattar ji, CM @NayabSainiBJP ji, @TCP_HARYANA & @dtcphry: Before adding density to occupied neighbourhoods, please ensure infrastructure capacity keeps pace with population growth. Introduce cleaner construction techniques, strictly enforce construction-dust norms, and mandate effective demolition-dust containment, including compliance during traditional stone-cutting and other dust-generating activities. Stop illegal malba dumping and remove the mountains of construction debris choking Gurugram. Most importantly, improve ambient air quality in residential sectors and protect residents from the daily burden of dust and pollution.
We have already written to CAQM on these concerns. CAQM has, in turn, marked our letters to MCG and HSPCB.
Why demolish relatively recent homes and burden settled colonies when suitable new areas could be planned and developed with infrastructure in place upfront?
Plan S+4Flr in new sectors wherein activities can be planned without causing structural damages and dust and noise pollution in well settled neighbourhoods.
मकान बनाना रियल एस्टेट का काम है; शहर बसाना और उसे रहने लायक बनाए रखना सरकार की ज़िम्मेदारी है।

The best lessons often begin with the Willingness to learn. 🌍
The I.I.M.U.N. Leadership Tour to Bengaluru in collaboration with Parul University, gave these students the chance to see how ideas take shape across industries. Their insightful visits to IBM, SAP Labs, Tata Elxsi, Tech Mahindra, IIM Bangalore, Wipro, Mensa, Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium, BigBasket, Caterpillar, PhonePe, Infosys, Goldman Sachs and the aerospace sector added fresh perspectives on technology, business, innovation and leadership. Each visit let them learn from tech leaders, understand technology from real-world perspectives, and connect it to their studies. 👔
The tour was a chance for them to find the courage to step into a new world and gain a clearer vision through real-world experiences. 📚

With concern for national security, and (a) my experience of defence sanctions imposed by USA during Kargil war period (b) tariff & other restrictions imposed by US recently, I would not like to depend on any foreign-owned telecom system in India.

8-10 Oct 26. Attended 48th Sangeet Sammelan of Indian National Theatre. This Gp has kept alive classical vocal & instrumental music of India in Chandigarh. A memorable event, listening to mesmerizing vocalists from Carnatic & Pune, and a very talented Sitar artist from Kolkata.
Happy Air Force Day! Our warm greetings and best wishes to all serving and retired colleagues of the Indian Air Force!
Excellent articulation by Army Chief on the new nature of conflicts & our doctrine. A very clear direction for army’s weapons/equipment requirements keeping in view likely threats, terrain, climatic conditions, our atmnirbharta conditions & expected impact on our Yodhas. @adgpi
Remarkable clarity. Command of detail. A very high level of articulation.
In his first major public address as Chief of the Army Staff, General Dhiraj Seth offers a compelling window into how the Indian Army is thinking about the changing character of war.
From AI, drones and technology reshaping the battlefield to the enduring importance of boots on the ground. From Atmanirbharta to preparing for conflicts that may stretch far longer than individual battles.
Complex ideas, explained with precision, authority and conviction.
A significant address from India’s new Army Chief. Well worth watching in full.

Ultimately, one should look at all these maneuvers in terms of national economic gains/losses, risk during geo-political/strategic/economic crises, and impact on our sovereign decisions.
Despite rocky U.S.-India ties, judged purely through an America First lens, Prez Trump’s India policy seems to be working:
• India lowered tariffs, banned forced-labor imports, and did not retaliate against U.S. tariffs (unlike some others)
• India moved to reduce Russian oil purchases and bought more U.S. LNG and LPG with the U.S. supplying 55–65% of its LPG imports during the Iran conflict
• The SHANTI Act eased the nuclear supplier-liability barrier nearly two decades after the civil nuclear deal
• India is buying Javelin ATGM and Excalibur munitions, signed a roughly $1 billion deal for 113 GE F404 engines, and cleared six additional P-8Is
• In its first direct action supporting the U.S. shadow-fleet crackdown, India seized three U.S.-sanctioned, Iran-linked tankers - a notable first
• A tougher FCRA amendment was sent to a JPC amid domestic and Western pushback
• India ended zero-MDR on larger merchant UPI payments - a longstanding U.S. concern
• U.S. exports to India rose 21%, while the goods deficit fell from $29 billion to $18.5 billion
• Indian companies announced a record $20.5 billion in U.S. investment commitments at SelectUSA - largest ever in SelectUSA history by one country
These are American wins, but not necessarily Indian losses. Many also advance India’s own interests.

The one-year milestone of our Leh branch coincided with the visit of Shri Tuhin Kanta Pandey, Chairman, SEBI, making it a memorable moment in our journey in Ladakh.
Over the past year, our local branch team has worked closely with people in the region to take financial inclusion, investor education and the distributor network forward in Ladakh.
Our presence here is also part of our larger commitment to taking financial awareness and inclusion to remote parts of the country, with a special focus on the armed forces and those who protect our nation.
