With this ending to this shitshow, I'm actually glad I was up at all those ungodly hours to watch it.
At least I was one more witness. Witness to yet another occasion of Russell's car being fcked over, and the FOM trying their ABSOLUTE BEST to obscure it from the audience. And Mercedes, for once, saying sorry, but never explaining the true cause.
Cuz we've NEVER gotten answers to the real questions:
- Why was only Russell's car software-bugged twice at Suzuka?
- Why did only Russell's battery explode in Canada?
- Why did only Russell lock up inexplicably in Q1 at Silverstone?
- What was the true cause of Russell's straight-line speed deficits from Austria to Hungary? Why can't Mercedes say anything other than an issue "deep in the code," despite admitting it had nothing to do with driving style?
- Why was only Russell's car getting phantom throttle input at the race start in Hungary (right after he'd gotten a fresh engine & turbo)?
- After the summer break, why did only Russell have deployment issues nearly every race, and ESPECIALLY during the first 6–7 laps?
- Why did only Antonelli get PU element changes at the optimal times, while Mercedes waited for Russell's parts to die? DESPITE all the warning signs in the sessions before?
Cutting this short here, although I really could go on all day. If you have any doubts, I urge you to look at my pinned tweet. And it's normal if you're hearing about some of these issues for the first time; the FOM has tried their best not to let any of them reach the live feeds.
And Mercedes has hardly ever offered answers to these. They did LIE a couple of times. Most of the time, they just ignored all the questions and let them be swept under the rug.
Good thing we don't forget, no?
And congratulations, Stefano Domenicali. You must be "thrilled" now that the Italian prodigy who "could be my son" has clinched the title. Quite the success for what you're "doing together," for "we" "winning the championship"?
Looks like you've taken good advice from the movie directors you've talked to, with all the story-making and mockumentaries you've been churning out. Did you think nothing of it as Liberty Media's stock price did nothing but plummet over the last three months?
Despite your short-sighted beliefs, Formula 1 fans DO care about racecraft, how throttle input works, and actual driving skill. The engineering side was precisely what got me interested in the sport; it is all the more devastating that the engineering side is precisely what you have chosen to spin your humiliating narratives from.
A pity, really, that the "sport" is no longer a sport, just one nice mockumentary, a shadow of F1: The Movie. You've obliterated all the glory built over its 75 years of history.
There's no argument: all season, you've been muting Russell when he reports deployment issues again and again, hiding him from view, and only ever putting his LEAST important radio messages on the broadcast and the Data Channel. I say with absolute confidence that your selective censorship of his radio messages would not pass ANY statistical test for randomness. You must have thought all your viewers were mindless pigs, but alas, no, you cannot block out the sun with your palm.
What both Mercedes and Domenicali's F1 Group, including the FOM, have done in 2026 can only be described as fabricated. repulsive. imperious, toward both the drivers and the hundreds of thousands of viewers. All season, right up to the race we all watched a few hours ago.
Utterly unacceptable.

Replying to @GeorgeRussell63
@GeorgeRussell63 we move toward 2027 heeding the wise words of Niki Lauda. “I've seen a lot of people here winning and losing, so I'd like to dedicate this award to the losers. Because I tell you from my own experience, winning is one thing but out of losing I always learn more for the future.”

I’ve been a @GeorgeRussell63 fan since he was an F1 rookie, because of his grit and resilience and underdog status (best junior sat at the worst team). I started being a @MercedesAMGF1 fan because I truly admired their operational dedication to equality and excellence in execution across the board. This season has proven to me that Mercedes no longer exists.
And it is not because of theories or conspiracies, it is because I see for a fact that one driver (without putting a step wrong, to his credit) has had 1 car related issues all season, and my driver has had car related issues in all but 2 weekends this season, with no explanation, no transparency, and no real sense of urgency or duty of care to figure out why.
Mercedes are going to have a WCC and WDC again, but they are not operating at the same capacity they used to prior.

Sabotaje a George?

Thanks to 🇨🇳63s for compiling a table of FIA’s parts-counting errors so far.
I’ve put the full table at the start of this thread, followed by the documents with discrepancies.

why the retraction?
makes absolutely no sense for @MercedesAMGF1 to NOT add a new ES & a new PU-CE to Russell's pool in Singapore
1. Russell has ALREADY used his ES (= battery) for the 10th consecutive GP.
His ES in Canada had exploded after 4.5 Grands Prix.
Antonelli has NEVER used an ES for more than 5 GPs.
2. a new ICE, TC, EXH, and MGU-K is a 40-grid penalty already; a 60-grid penalty doesn't make a difference.
3. What DOES make a difference: the 1st time a driver exceeds the limits for a component, it's a 10-grid penalty. The 2nd time they exceed the limits, the penalty is reduced to 5 grids.
If Russell gets a new ES now: if ever needs to get a new ES after this, he would only get a 5-place grid-drop.
If he doesn't: any new ES would get him the 10-place grid-drop. The PU-CE would give him an additional 10-place drop
= starting from the back of the grid AGAIN.
@MercedesAMGF1 is LITERALLY setting Russell up for more severe grid penalties in the future.
