Most of the Bitcoin supply is in the hands of institutions and corporations now, with most of that shift happening in the last 7 years or so. Bitcoin mining is dominated by ASICS in large centralized warehouses…also having large chunks hash power owned by institutions How long until gov’s, institutions, and companies with virtually unlimited capital and resources between them accumulate the majority of stake control in 100% proof of stake systems in the top 50 if they want to eventually control or steer them in a desired direction? Not having a POW mechanism(alongside POS) that has a low barrier to entry(like cell phone cpu mining) for validating transactions is a mistake IMO.
