Update on the 23 October trading pause
On Friday, we detected suspicious activity in our technology infrastructure and paused trading as a precaution. We understand this disrupted your ability to trade, and we are truly sorry for the inconvenience.
Since then, our team has been working relentlessly to secure our infrastructure and address any potential gaps linked to the global critical vulnerabilities disclosed this past week. We have put multiple guardrails in place to protect your account. We currently expect trading to resume for today's market session.
We know many of you have been worried about your investments, and that's completely understandable. Please rest assured, your holdings are safe and remain unaffected.
We have also added new guardrails around password and PIN resets and verification of your first trade each day. Full details have been sent by email to registered customers, and password reset instructions will follow shortly.
A quick reminder: Vested will never ask for your password, PIN, or OTP. If you notice anything unusual on your account or get a suspicious message claiming to be from Vested, write to us at [email protected].

Update: We halted trading today on the Vested platform as a precautionary measure due to suspicious activity we identified in our technology infrastructure earlier in the day.
After a more detailed investigation, we observed unauthorized access and believe that it could have been obtained through critical cybersecurity vulnerabilities (CVEs) disclosed this week which affected platforms globally. Since we were unable to conclude our investigation before US markets opened we decided to err on the side of caution.
There is no impact on any holdings. We apologize for the disruption and are working relentlessly to ensure that our systems are updated to handle evolving cybersecurity threats. We will restore trading once we have confirmed there is no further suspicious activity on our systems.
