When Trump says the US is "making money like never before," he's not talking about you. He's talking about himself, his family, and his billionaire buddies. He doesn't give a fuck about you.

US energy company execs have resigned in disgust as the Trump family is caught secretly expediting the funneling of $25 billion from a sanctioned Russian energy giant in exchange for allowing Russians to obtain a natural gas project in Alaska.
According to investigations by The New York Times and Financial Times, Russia's Novatek allegedly concealed its financial involvement in the American project through a UAE-linked intermediary.
Gentry Beach, a longtime Trump ally and close friend of Donald Trump Jr., signed an agreement with Novatek to pursue natural gas development in Alaska. Reuters documented the arrangement in February.
Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin discussed this cooperation on the Alaska energy project with Trump's representatives, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, during negotiations involving Russia and Ukraine.
The controversy deepened when Polar Train LNG's CEO, Joel Riddle, raised concerns about concealed Russian financing and possible sanctions violations. He departed in September, followed by other senior executives.
The Financial Times also described discussions about a potential arrangement under which Novatek would provide technology for the Alaska project in exchange for sanctions relief benefiting its Arctic LNG 2 development in Siberia.
According to The New York Times, Riddle and two other departing executives warned the Trump administration about the Russian financing and urged officials to investigate.
The White House maintains that the project was mentioned only briefly and that no detailed discussions took place. There is no established evidence that Kushner or Witkoff knew about the allegedly concealed financing. Polar Train LNG denies wrongdoing.
The central question is how a sanctioned Russian energy company became involved in a major American energy venture while Putin was discussing potential economic cooperation with Trump's representatives and a longtime Trump family associate was pursuing a separate agreement with the same Russian company.
Selling Alaska to the Russians or selling Ukraine to the Russians - to the Trump family it's all the same.

Plus the child’s mother and the other individual never got charged for “stealing” diapers. This cop had issues. Like most officers do. (I grew up in a law enforcement household) y’all got some problems.🙄

James Talarico: “Too many Democrats have joined Republicans in preaching the false gospel of trickle-down economics. The idea that all we gotta do to get the economy on track is to let the rich get richer and forget about everybody else. Trickle-down economics is not a theory, it’s theft. They have been stealing from working people in Texas and across the country for 50 years now”

Hillary Clinton: “The Republican Party is no longer a political party, it is a cult devoted to Trump and Trump’s power. The Republican Party needs a total transformation. If we’re gonna have a healthy government that actually gets things done and delivers for people, the Republican Party has to purge itself of everybody that lost both their conscience and their backbone over the last ten years and that’s most of them”

Dropped off our ballots today! If we don’t take back control of the house and senate, this last 20 months is nothing compared to what the next 28 months will be. I don’t even want to think about it. Every single person needs to vote. There shouldn’t be anyone on the fence, either you want to continue this shit show (vote red or don’t vote) OR YOU WANT TO SAVE OUR COUNTRY (VOTE BLUE). There is no in between. #Voted #VoteBlue

Donald Trump has spent forty years telling us he's the greatest dealmaker alive, and the evidence is a book he didn't write. Armed with that, he marches into century-old conflicts with the preparation of a five-year-old at a chess tournament and the confidence of a man who's never lost anything except casinos, an airline, and the popular vote twice.
The results speak for themselves. He's sold out America to Russia, pitched beachfront hotels on the rubble of Gaza, and signed a diesel deal with Moscow while the war it's funding is still going. He got Greenland, triumphantly, and never noticed he'd been handed the same 1951 defense agreement the US already had, rewritten in a bigger font.
The best bit is what the actual author said afterwards. Tony Schwartz, the ghostwriter, called the book lipstick on a pig, said he'd title it The Sociopath today, and admitted he invented the phrase "truthful hyperbole" to dress up the lying. The man has a black belt in lying, and it's the only one he's ever earned. The one deal Trump ever closed was getting someone else to make him sound clever.
