Zcash NU7 is coming, what do you need to know? 🤔 NU7 is scheduled to activate on Mainnet at block height 3,543,405, currently estimated for November 5–6. The upgrade will bring several important changes to ZEC mining: 🔸 Block target spacing: 75s → 25s 🔸 Block subsidy per block will adjust accordingly, keeping the overall issuance schedule unchanged 🔸 Miner fee share: 100% → 40%, while the remaining 60% goes to NSM reserve, reissued later as block subsidies For ViaBTC Zcash @Zcash miners, no action is required. Bitcoin hashrate cools to a 3-week low The 7-day average network hashrate fell to 915.8 EH/s as of Sept 26, its lowest point in three weeks. Over the same Sept 20-26 window, miner BTC holdings dropped by 1,530 BTC.
