And then there was one. Your Minnesota Vikings are the sole remaining undefeated team in the NFL after yesterday. The 1973 Dolphins will now scoreboard watch....

Vikings at Lions Week 1969 - The first Viking Super Bowl Team handles the Lions easily in Detroit with a 27-0 shutout in the snow and mud of Tiger Stadium on Thanksgiving Day. Neither team have over 175 yards of offense. But see the Jim Marshall pick & the Alan Page TD.

Vikings at Lions Week 1968 - You think he 2026 Viking offense is dull? Here is the 1968 squad - Joe Kapp throws just 10 times (completes 6, but 3 to the other team!). But the famed Purple People Eater defense holds DET to 131 yds and 6 points in the win.

Vikings at Lions Week - 1965 - The Vikings first win IN Detroit as this one surviving play shows Ed Sharockman secures a 40 yard Pick 6 to give the Vikings the easy 29-7 win in the mud at Tiger Stadium.

Vikings at Lions Week 1961 - The first time Minnesota ever played the Detroit Lions. Detroit came in 8-3-1 against the 1st year Viking squad. The game was close, but how many of you remember the DET QB Jim Ninowski?

Guess what folks? No delay of games today and no wasted timeouts for plays getting in late. Baby steps, but that’s a good start

How many games are won with 150 yards these days? But hard to get more with just 24 attempts

Observation #12 in MIN win vs INDY (I missed one!). At this stage in the season, you start to wonder if you are seeing a Viking Defense that gets whispered in the same conversation as the Ravens 2000 and Bears 1985 teams

Observation #20 in MIN win vs INDY – Harrison Smith showed you why he is still a Viking with his game-sealing INT, and Daniel Jones showed you why he is not the QB in Minnesota. Vikes go to 6-0.

Observation #19 in MIN win vs INDY – When you have a poor offense, you better play clean (penalties) and turnover free. The Vikings did both today in the win.

Observation #18 in MIN win vs INDY– An offense that has TJ Hockenson, Justin Jefferson, and Jordan Addison can’t lack explosiveness. I would recommends KOC get help from Brian Flores to help him dissect what defenses are doing, and where his WRs or QB are coming up short.

Observation #17 in MIN win vs INDY– When the Viking defense guesses on pass on 3rd and short, and when they do, they leave big gaping holes for opposing offenses to pick up the 1st down. The one downside to the constant, aggressive pressure.

Observation #16 in MIN win vs INDY – The Colt offense was just effective enough to keep the Viking offense off the field. They showed other teams the old rule that a good screen pass game can beat a fast pass rush.

Observation #15 in MIN win vs INDY – If Kyler Murray does not find a receiver quickly in rhythm, he seems to struggle to find any secondary receiver. A pro QB has to be able to find outlets receivers and receivers underneath when the primary is not open.

Observation #14 in MIN win vs INDY– Today was a lesson on Defense winning Championships. They do, but the offense IS going to be needed as this schedule moves to its toughest part.

Observation #13 in MIN win vs INDY – In the 2nd half, Brian Flores really dialed-up the 6-man blitz and when he did, the pressure was immediate and it enabled his DBs to cover for a short enough time that no options existed for Daniel Jones.

Observation #11 in MIN win vs INDY– Kyler Murray can run, which is a blessing, but we need him to be effective passing more than we need his wheels to win games. Not sure why he is struggling so much to be consistent as a passer.

Observation #10 in MIN win vs INDY – The Viking pass rush was ferocious again, but Indy found that using slants was very effective pick up the yardage on 3rd and long. Somehow, the slant pattern was retired in the Viking offense when KOC got to Minnesota.

Observation #9 in MIN win vs INDY – If you are a Viking fan who likes boring offense, do we have a squad for you this week. Fans must be near asleep watching this inept bunch work. Hard to believe no receiver is open on so many plays.
