SCARY: 🇩🇪 Germany just hit a new record for its highest number of suicides in nearly 30 years. 11,334 people died by suicide in 2025. That’s almost 10% more than in 2024. Almost 50% of the cases involved people over 65 years. Since 2023, the increase has been mainly among women, up 17.9%, compared with 5.8% for men. However, men make up almost 70% of cases.
