Pope Leo XIV's doctors announced on Saturday morning that Pope Leo XIV is fit to be discharged from Gemelli Hospital.
In a statement from the Holy See Press Office, Dr. Luigi Carbone and Professor Stefano Margaritora said the Pope underwent blood tests and a chest X-ray in the morning, which confirm that his clinical condition allows for him to leave hospital.
The Holy See Press Office said he will return to the Vatican on Saturday afternoon and pray the Angelus on Sunday from the window of the papal apartment.
Never Forget.
25 years later, we remember. Today, we honor members of our community who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001, and all those impacted by that tragic day. Their legacies live on at Villanova through a meaningful memorial and enduring support for students.

A great addition to @VillanovaU
I hope they scrap this and figure out a new way forward with a better memorial. Great to see that they are creating one, just think it could be better.
An early look at the @GWOTMF memorial planned for Washington, D.C, released today.
It's planned on what are now athletic fields at the corner of Henry Bacon Drive and Constitution Avenue, near the Lincoln Memorial and Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

Live with grace and kindness. We all make mistakes.
I was ordained in 1998.
I took a group of sophomores on retreat at a retreat center. We had a hard leave time because we needed to take the bus to get back to school before the buses left.
So, it was time to pray mass and when I went to the sacristy to vest, I could not get in: a priest was in there hearing confessions from another retreat.
In the end, I got a stole from my truck and explained to the students I was not able to wear vestments because of a weird situation. I told them this shouldn’t happen but I couldn’t figure out another way.
During mass, the Bishop (Karl) came in to see the mass.
The next day, he called and tore me a new one for 20 minutes. He was furious. I explained the situation and he told me in the future to not pray mass if I was not able to vest properly.
I asked his forgiveness and learned my lesson.
I say this because priests are normal people. We make mistakes and learn and grow.
Somewhere out there is a picture of me praying mass in my clerics and a stole. You can post it and condemn me or rejoice that I learned something.
The outrage machine is consuming people like this poster I’m replying to and it’s a tragedy.
Jesus promises us that the measure we use to measure others will be measured back to us.
I think of that every day.
A Golden day. Congratulations to @usahockey, hang this in every art gallery in America!

Can we please get some clarification on this new policy? @SecVetAffairs, @SenMcCormickPA
DAV is extremely disappointed and alarmed by VA’s decision to issue an Interim Final Rule today that could potentially reduce disability compensation for millions of disabled veterans. The new regulation would allow VA to reduce disability compensation ratings for veterans who take medications to control their conditions or reduce their symptoms.
The rule—which disregards clear decisions from the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, Jones v. Shinseki, 26 Vet. App. 56 (2012) & Ingram v. Collins, 38 Vet. App. 130 (2025)—was developed and issued in a closed and unnecessarily expedited process that effectively shut out veterans from providing any meaningful input.
It is unclear if and how VA is implementing this dramatic change and how it will impact the more than 6 million veterans currently receiving disability compensation, most of whom are taking at least one medication. dav.org/learn-more/news/2026…
