More clinicians are questioning the need for every 2 min pause of compressions in non shockable rhythm cardiac arrest. But how to know when to stop?
‼️ Femoral Doppler waveforms during chest compressions are 89% accurate‼️
Can Doppler ultrasound waveforms during CPR help predict return of arterial pulsatility?
A new Annals of Emergency Medicine study suggests they can — with strong diagnostic accuracy.

Emergency Medicine means loving a job that destroys circadian rhythms.
The only way I survive nights & flips is with strict sleep hygiene rituals.

It's our favourite summer holiday today, the August 15 Dormition of the Virgin Mary. Not that we need an excuse for a festival in #Greece! Happy holidays everyone. 👌

If you tried to enroll in the SAVE IDR plan after medical school and are stuck in "SAVE Limbo" these months could be costing you $1,000s/month if you're pursuing PSLF.
You should strongly consider submitting a new IDR application for New IBR (ideal) or PAYE.

So allegedly some fellowship apps are due in October of 3rd year....which is in a year and a half??! Confused as to where the time in residency is going?

There is nothing wrong with having a growth mindset.
However, you can’t be so focused on what the future holds that you ignore the here and now.
You can appreciate current blessings and strive for a better tomorrow.
A dose of mindfulness and gratitude can help you find the balance.

No… this time does NOT count towards PSLF unfortunately.
(At least as of today... Things change daily. There is something called the PSLF Buyback once you get to 120 months… but that remains in flux as well.)
🎓 Student Loans: "SAVE Limbo" Forbearance
☁️Interest-Free Forbearance (On SAVE Plan):
• No interest accrues
• Does not count toward forgiveness
☁️General Forbearance (NOT on SAVE, SAVE Application Pending):
• Interest accrues
• Does not count toward forgiveness
Note: If pursuing PSLF, your loan balance growing shouldn’t matter. Any accrued interest is forgiven tax-free once you qualify for PSLF.

IDR applications are now open, but servicers are still not processing them...
Still, if you attempted to enroll in SAVE after graduating from medical school, you will likely benefit from submitting a new IDR application for NEW IBR (ideal) or PAYE.
To do so, log in to studentaid(.)gov/IDR and submit a new IDR application.
Additional details will be posted tomorrow.
SOS to all you experts- I have been on the SAVE plan since starting residency but have been in forbearence. Do these months count towards PSLF/should I switch to another IDR since apps just opened again?

Student Loan Repayment Plans are now active again on the studentaid.gov website. If you’re not on a repayment plan such as IDR this will be your time to get on one especially if you’re trying to get loan forgiveness through the PSLF.
