4. 关掉精确位置

What Graham essentially did was contact other shareholders, persuade them to support his proposal, collect their proxy voting rights, and push for people he supported to be elected to the board of directors.
This was value investing in its purest form:
For just $65, an investor could buy the stock and not only get the entire profitable pipeline business for free, but also receive $95 worth of highly liquid, high quality bonds for nothing. (This was also an early precursor to Graham’s later famous “cigar butt” investing philosophy.)
No wonder this was information that remained largely unknown to the public! The story was uncovered by going through original archives at the ICC building in Washington.
Put into today’s terms, it would be something like this: finding the company’s president and demanding that the $95 per share in bond assets be liquidated and distributed to shareholders as dividends only to be immediately rejected. Then turning to the Rockefeller Foundation for help, getting nowhere, and finally writing letters one by one to more than 1,900 other retail shareholders until the shareholders collectively organized and successfully fought for their rights.
