All-State for the Warriors, All-American for the Thunder. Congrats Peter!
Headline honors from a successful season.
D3football.com has announced its All-America Teams for the 2025 campaign, and five Wheaton players have earned special recognition for their strong performances this year.
Congratulations to Peter Johanik (First Team defense), Aiden Byrne (Third Team offense), Ben Juska (Third Team offense), Zeke Harris (Fourth Team defense), and Josiah Smith (Fourth Team special teams)!
Five marks the second-highest number of D3football.com All-Americans for the Thunder in a single season in program history and the most honorees in one year since 2021 (6).
Johanik becomes a unanimous All-American with today's announcement, and he extends @WheatonFB 's streak of having at least one unanimous All-America selection in every season since 2017.

National status for a dominant disruptor.
@WeAreAFCA has announced its 2025 Division III All-America Teams, and Wheaton's Peter Johanik has been named to the Second Team defense thanks to an outstanding senior season.
The Thunder's career tackle for loss record-holder currently owns the second-most TFLs in a single season in program history with 23 and is tied for fourth in Wheaton's single-season sack category with 14 this year. Both of these figures lead the CCIW, and he has also forced the joint-most fumbles of any conference player this fall with three. Johanik is currently tied for fourth in total sacks and tied for fifth in tackles for loss in all of Division III this season.
@WheatonFB has now had at least one player be recognized as an AFCA Division III All-American for 11-consecutive seasons, the longest current streak among all Division III programs.

And yet another accolade for a former Warrior!
Ahead of the Wheaton football team's regular season finale at North Park University this afternoon, sophomore linebacker Ethan Brunner was presented with the CCIW Elite 26 Award as one of two student-athletes from the top two teams in the conference standings with the highest GPA.
Brunner is majoring in biology at Wheaton and has a cumulative GPA of 3.97. Congratulations to Ethan on this special recognition!
