Skies clear out for most of us tonight as morning lows fall to around the freezing mark. Thursday then looks partly to mostly sunny with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s. Fog is possible Friday AM, with a stray shower possible on Halloween. #ndwx #mnwx

We may have had our first flakes of the season in North Dakota late last night and early this morning but they didn't stick. Check out what it looked like in Langdon three years ago: talk about spooky!

Split reports: snow and rain from last night. Tomorrow calls for only rain showers and it won't be wet all day Wednesday.

Cloudy & dreary skies out there this evening, but this morning? Some of us woke up to the first snow of the season dusting the ground west of the RRV. No additional snow chances on the way...tomorrow, we'll look out for a few showers/t-showers. #ndwx #mnwx

Snow flakes are already flying in parts of south-central ND at this hour! This video is from Justin in Kulm, taken about 8:30pm this evening. We'll look out for some minor accumulation of that snow on grassy surfaces tonight west of the Valley. #ndwx

We've got showers on the way tonight. For many, that'll be a cold rain, but west of the valley, in areas like Jamestown, a wintry mix/some wet snowflakes are expected, and some minor accumulation on grassy surfaces will be possible. #ndwx #mnwx

Good luck to the Cross Country runners competing at state Friday & Saturday! The forecast on Friday is windy w/temps in the 70s & a chance of a shower. Saturday starts in the 60s in the AM but temps will be falling all day long, near 50° at the starting line w/a strong wind .

We've got one more mild day to enjoy on Friday, but it'll be cloudier & a lot windier to wrap up the work week. A few showers & rumbles of thunder will be possible later in the day as well. The wind holds on Saturday, with tumbling temps too. #ndwx #mnwx

From the 70s yesterday to the 60s today, we go back to highs in the 70s for tomorrow. Thursday will also see the wind start to return though, but the worst of that wind comes Friday & Saturday as our next weather maker tumbles temps next week. #ndwx #mnwx

The sunshine sticks around tomorrow, but temps will be a bit cooler, with highs mainly in the 60s. At least the wind will be lighter as well, before the breeze returns later this week, followed by our next weather maker Friday and Saturday. #ndwx #mnwx

We had a very chilly start to the day, with lows in the 20s for the first time this fall in Fargo & Grand Forks. Still, we recovered nicely this afternoon with highs in the 60s, & that quiet, warm, & sunny trend will continue through Thursday. #ndwx #mnwx

We've got a windy night ahead, with scattered showers as well through the early overnight. Look for N/NW winds 20-35mph, with gusts to 45mph tonight. Winds decrease tomorrow morning as sunshine returns, followed by a warm up this weekend. #ndwx #mnwx

Wow, thank you cloud cover: you saved the temperature from tanking this AM! Check out the 20s where the skies were clear - 40s under the cloud blanket. Even more clouds and a stronger wind for Thursday: Wind Advisory has been posted for a good portion of North Dakota.

After a cloudy day, skies will gradually clear west to east tonight, allowing temps to tumble and necessitating a Freeze Warning across much of ND for Wednesday AM. Exact temps will depend on how quick clouds clear out, especially for the RRV. #ndwx #mnwx

Record 89° on Saturday in Fargo and now temperatures have fallen nearly FORTY degrees with a brisk breeze: ouch. At least these aren't wind chills... yet.

The wind settles down tonight, with increasing clouds heading into tomorrow. Look for mainly cloudy skies on Thursday, with light west winds, & afternoon highs in the mid 60s for the Valley ahead of briefly warmer weather for Friday & Saturday. #ndwx #mnwx

LOVE seeing the woolly bear caterpillar photos but don't but much stock in their colors and what it means for winter: the thickness of the brown band is more of an indicator on when the caterpillar hatched, its diet and the weather it's lived through.

After seeing highs well into the 70s, and even a few into the low 80s, today, slightly cooler and breezier conditions return tomorrow. Look for a mix of sun and clouds on Wednesday, with WNW winds sustained at 15-25 mph and gusting up to 35mph. #ndwx #mnwx

Lighter winds on are tap for Tuesday, along with warmer temps! Many spots see highs in the mid 70s under a mix of sun and clouds tomorrow, followed by the breeze returning Wednesday. Mild temps continue through the rest of this week though. #ndwx #mnwx
