This was Russia’s concept proposal back in the early 2000s for South Korea's AH-X attack helicopter competition. It featured a narrower tandem cockpit profile, Western avionics, a belly-mounted 20mm gun turret, and full rotor/wing folding. 🚁🇷🇺

I was today years old when I learned the Ka-52’s 30 mm cannon actually moves… 🤯
Honestly, I always thought the Alligator's side-mounted Shipunov 2A42 was completely fixed. It’s not! It's actually fitted with hydraulic actuators that pivot the gun +3.5° to -37° in elevation and +30° to -2° in azimuth. Placing it right near the center of mass dramatically cuts down on recoil shake compared to traditional chin turrets - making those 30 mm rounds terrifyingly accurate out to 4 km.

You don't need an expensive 3D scanner. Your phone can be the camera.
This is the idea behind photogrammetry.
You simply take a bunch of pictures of an object from different angles.
Then OpenScan processes those images and reconstructs the object as a 3D representation.
No expensive 3D scanner needed.
