4H CRT β From Entry to Exit | XAUUSD
This is a beautiful demonstration of how CRT delivers a complete trading narrative, from liquidity manipulation to expansion and eventual reversal.
1. The range formation
We identify the CRT range between CRL (4057) and CRH (4138).
Price consolidates around the lower boundary.
The range provides our reference for liquidity and directional bias.
2. The entry β Sell-side liquidity sweep
Price trades around the CRL region.
Liquidity below the range is the area of interest.
Once price rejects the lower boundary and delivers bullish displacement, we look for confirmation on the lower timeframe.
The bullish expansion provides the opportunity to enter long.
3. The expansion β Targeting CRH
Price aggressively expands from the lower range.
Multiple bullish candles confirm displacement.
CRH becomes the natural liquidity objective.
Price eventually reaches the upper boundary around 4138.
4. The reversal β Exit and opposite expansion
After reaching the upper liquidity objective, price fails to sustain bullish delivery.
Bearish displacement develops.
Price retraces through the range and starts expanding toward the lower boundary again.
5. The bigger lesson
CRT is not just about finding an entry. It is about understanding the entire delivery of price.
Range formation.
Liquidity manipulation.
Displacement.
Entry confirmation.
Liquidity objective.
Exit.
The important distinction: the chart shows a 1H execution view of the range. To confirm the exact 4H CRT candle and precise entry/exit, we would need the corresponding 4H chart.

US30 β CRT SIMPLIFIED π
HTF RANGE β SELL-SIDE LIQUIDITY β BULLISH EXPANSION
This chart is a beautiful example of how I simplify CRT. You donβt need to complicate the market when you understand TIME, PRICE and LIQUIDITY.
Letβs break it down.
1. Identify the HTF Range
First, we establish our higher-timeframe range.
On this US30 45M chart, we identify:
Range High: Around 52,538
Range Low: Around 51,343
This gives us the boundaries within which price is operating.
Remember: CRT begins with understanding the range. Without a range, you have no reference for understanding the manipulation and expansion.
2. Liquidity Sweep (The Manipulation)
Look at what happened around November 4.
Price traded below the established range low, taking out sell-side liquidity.
This is important because:
Sell-side liquidity was taken.
Price failed to sustain acceptance below the range.
Buyers subsequently stepped in with strong bullish displacement.
This is where you start paying attention.
3. Displacement (The Expansion)
After taking sell-side liquidity, US30 delivered an aggressive bullish expansion.
Notice how price:
Displaced away from the range low.
Broke through the range high.
Delivered strong bullish candles.
Continued reaching for external buy-side liquidity.
This is the expansion phase of the CRT model.
The market moved from taking liquidity below the range to seeking liquidity above it.
4. Understanding the Current Price
Now look at the right side of the chart.
Price is consolidating around the highs after the aggressive expansion.
We need to pay attention to:
Whether price continues delivering bullish displacement.
Whether a new range develops.
Whether price sweeps short-term sell-side liquidity before continuing higher.
Whether price rejects the highs and begins a deeper retracement.
I wouldnβt blindly chase buys at these highs.
Let price create the next opportunity.
5. The Actual CRT Lesson
Here is the entire model:
PHASE 1: Establish your HTF range.
PHASE 2: Wait for liquidity to be taken.
PHASE 3: Look for displacement away from the sweep.
PHASE 4: Identify the opposing liquidity objective.
PHASE 5: Use lower timeframes to refine your execution.

CRT KING π β FINAL THOUGHT
The most important lesson here:
Price doesnβt have to respect the direction of the previous candles. It has to deliver towards liquidity.
We had a bearish move into sell-side liquidity, followed by an aggressive bullish expansion.
Same market. Same chart. Different phases.
This is why I always emphasise:
HTF CRT for directional bias. LTF CRT for execution.
CRT isnβt about predicting every candle. Itβs about understanding what price is doing within a range and positioning yourself when the conditions align.
TIME. PRICE. LIQUIDITY.

HTF RANGE β LIQUIDITY SWEEP β DISPLACEMENT β CONTINUATION
What makes this setup interesting is not simply the bullish move. It is how price reacted at the lower boundary of the higher-timeframe range and expanded toward the opposite side.

7. THE LESSON FOR CRT TRADERS
This is the sequence worth studying:
HTF RANGE β LOWER-BOUNDARY REACTION β BULLISH DISPLACEMENT β STRUCTURE BREAK β RANGE-HIGH OBJECTIVE.
But remember three things:
A range-boundary touch is not automatically a valid CRT reversal.
Displacement is more meaningful when it follows a well-defined liquidity event and breaks relevant structure.
Once price has expanded significantly, chasing the move can produce poor risk-to-reward even when the directional analysis is correct.
A strong analysis identifies the opportunity. A strong trader also knows when the opportunity has passed.
CRT KING π β OMO WHITE πΉ
The goal is not to predict every candle.
It is to understand where price is, what liquidity it may be seeking, and what confirmation is required before execution.
Time. Price. Risk management.
Thatβs the difference between watching a chart move and trading a defined model.
