Somewhere in middle on this. Nobody should be dooming & glooming about the program, we are in great shape now & moving forward.
But I also see people excited for the Pop-Tarts Bowl and they need to get with the times (especially w/ 24 team CFP coming). It’s time to expect more.
Seeing some doomers in our fanbase say our season is over while we’re ranked No.18 in the nation with a 6-2 record…
If you’re ready to cut and run on the Coogs this season you have the complete wrong outlook on where we are.
Houston has a lot of goals to meet this season. We’ve only lost to Tech due to a questionable spot on the 2 point conversion and to Utah with a banged up offense who will recover this bye week.
November 7th is homecoming against Cincy and the first official CFP poll will release the day after on Nov. 8. We’re projected to be a Top 15 team with a CFP at-large bid in reach.
Focus on going 1-0 every week and everything else will take care of itself. We faced adversity and now we respond both as the team on the field and the fans in the stands.
Houston went 4-8 in 2023 and 2024. If you told me we’d be a top team in the nation a few years later I’d call you a liar. Willie Fritz is pushing to give us our first consecutive seasons with double-digit wins in UH Football history. Not supporting this team because we lost to the now No. 6 team in the country would show us you have no loyalty.
Every win we stack builds to something greater for this program and the point is to be there for the ride and celebrate every milestone along the way.
Being a fan means supporting the team, not just the success. If you really want to see this team succeed, make that statement by continuing to support and rep the Coogs. That’s how we turn our games into an unbeatable home field environment.
Bc we’re all a tad delusional despite our season probably being over in terms of Big 12, I found a (somewhat) realistic path back to the Big 12 title game:

NOT the week for Weigman and the offense to have their worst game and of course it came the week after their best game. If you told me pregame we’d hold Utah to 21 points I would’ve bet a LOT on Coogs to win outright
Will Hammond simply isn’t a good QB. Said it before the season, said it despite the loss to them, said it now. And the funny thing is Texas Tech was trying their best to show their fans they didn’t believe in him either in so many different ways….

For Heisman talk they mentioned Mestemaker and Fifita and not Weigman. Brandon also said Baylor was still alive for a CFP spot in same breath as Oklahoma State. It would be great if the national media watched the Big 12 outside of like 4 games a year
