🥂 If you're out tonight celebrating the New Year, please don't drive if you've had a drink. Make it 'none for the road' this New Year and always get a taxi home.

We are up for the challenge! #WeAreWMFS Very best of luck to all teams competing at this year's National Breathing Apparatus Challenge at @FSCmoreton! We're represented by firefighters from @WMFSWardEnd and @WMFSFoleshill, who took the top two places in our own challenge event.

If it’s locked or blocked, then it’s not a fire exit. ❌ Check fire exit doors are not blocked or obstructed from the inside or outside, and ensure they're clearly signed and lit. #BusinessSafety23

Businesses must have an up-to-date Fire Risk Assessment, which should be regularly reviewed. It’s the law. If you don’t know where to start, take a look at the five steps you should consider: gov.uk/workplace-fire-safety… #BusinessSafety23

Fire safety in the workplace

Fire safety in business and non-domestic premises: the responsible person, fire risk assessments, shared premises, new buildings, enforcement, appeals and penalties

Take advantage of a free online safety check to identify any risks in your home. It's quick and easy and, if you have a higher risk of fire, we'll receive your details to arrange a visit from your local firefighters. Visit safelincs.co.uk/hfsc/ to find out more.

Across the West Midlands this weekend, we've got charity car washes at lots of our fire stations! They're all raising funds on behalf of Crew Commander Iain Hughes towards his chosen charities. Please share and find a car wash near you or donate here: wmfs.link/3qXNFTa

Always keep things like hair straighteners out of reach of inquisitive kids! The same goes for other hot things like drinks or pots and pans. Check out @CAPTcharity's great leaflet to avoid nasty burns and scalds: wmfs.link/429tj6k #ChildSafetyWeek #SafetyMadeSimple
