Named for Medal of Honor recipient Cpl. Jason L. Dunham, USMC. On April 14, 2004, near Husaybah, Iraq, he covered a live grenade with his helmet and body, saving his fellow Marines. He was 22.
The idea was born at Bethesda when Col. John Folsom met a young soldier with a devastating brain injury and his mother asking what happens next. That question became this mission.
