Big time #hail for South Florida standards, as a severe warned storm moved through north Palm Beach County this evening.

South Florida transitions into dry season today following yesterday’s cold front. Look at all that goodness heading our way!

Lots of juice heading to Florida ahead of a powerful mid-October cold front. South Florida likely not participating in drier air afterwards. Most comfortable airmass Lake Okeechobee and north.

Soon to be #Isaias will head toward the northern Gulf states this weekend. Anywhere from Louisiana to western Florida panhandle looks possible. Tropical Storm likely; hurricane possible… depends on how much shear it will run into before landfall 🌀

Watching the tropics: The @NHC_Atlantic marking a 20% in the SW Gulf/Bay of Campeche. A small window of favorable conditions (low wind shear) giving help to sum spinnage over the next few days 🌀

Ensembles are beginning to sniff out the chance for tropical development the 2nd week into October. Nothing mentioned by the @NHC_Atlantic yet… just watching for now

Powerful Nor’easter will pull in dry air all the way to South Florida this weekend. A drop in humidity will feel very refreshing. First Fall cold front of the season 🍂

Likely nor’easter sets up late this week - weekend as a strong coastal low develops. Winds 50 - 60 mph w/ stronger gusts. Should stay non-tropical.

Good lookin’ swirl in the mid-levels. This’ll pump in high humidity for Florida this weekend. Maybe sum hail & gusty winds with colder temps aloft. Nothing tropical tho.
