What do REI, Warren RECC, and Land O’Lakes have in common? 🤔 All are co-ops! Co-ops come in all shapes and sizes, but each has something important in common: co-ops reflect the communities they serve. No two co-ops––or even electric co-ops for that matter––are exactly alike… because every community has unique needs. Local leadership allows co-ops to be nimble and support their members in different ways. Happy National Cooperative Month!
Heading out of town for fall break?? Set your home to vacation mode save money on your electric bill while you’re away! 🚘 🧳 #SaveEnergy
💡Lower your thermostat a few degrees or create an “away” schedule with a smart or programmable thermostat.
💡Lower your water heater temp. (Newer water heaters include a vacation mode setting.)
💡Unplug devices that consume energy when they’re not in use, including phone chargers, toothbrush chargers, TVs and gaming consoles.
Today we had the pleasure of honoring former director Joe Neely. Joe served on the Warren RECC board of directors for 52 years, leading the co-op through decades of growth and progress. Thank you, Joe, for all you have done for the members of Warren RECC!
September 29 is National Coffee Day! Ok, we know you love your iced caramel latte, but check out the value of electricity when you brew from home! Bonus: No waiting in line at the drive-through 😎☕️ #NationalCoffeeDay
Emergencies are less stressful when everyone knows what to do. Talk with your family about:
💡Where you'll meet if you're separated.
💡How you'll communicate if cell service is limited.
💡Who will check on older relatives or neighbors.
💡What you'll do if an outage lasts several hours or longer.
At Warren RECC, we're committed to keeping the lights on. But when outages occur, our crews are ready to respond safely and restore power as quickly as they can.
