Liverpool’s attackers have come alive in the last week:
Florian Wirtz - 2 assists and 1 goal in the last 3 games.
Rio Ngumoha - 2 assists tonight, incredible cameo against Brentford, top performance against LASK
Bradley Barcola - Hattrick vs LASK, assist vs Brentford
Alexander Isak - Winning goal vs Brentford
Victor Muñoz - Equaliser vs Brentford
🚨 NEW:
Conor Bradley is in the final stages of his recovery.
He is back working on grass, which is an important step, and hoping to join some sessions in the near future.
But he will have to be eased back into the team slowly.

We need to have first dibs on Fabregas if Iraola doesn’t work out. In fact, I’d even go so far as to say if Iraola doesn’t get us towards our attacking potential/ceiling by the end of the season and Fabregas becomes available, we should lock down Fabregas before another PL rival comes in for him.
Fabregas has the feeling of being the next Pep Guardiola, the next generation defining manager. Liverpool need to dominate the next era of football and have almost built the squad to do it. Fabregas can be the coach to make it happen, if Andoni can’t.
I would rather sign Gilberto Mora for £30m than sign Alex Scott for £100m.
Similar profiles, same position, similar strengths. Mora is good enough and mature enough to come in and play loads of games too. In fact, it would regress his potential if he doesn’t play immediately.
Mora is a Pedri, a Jude Bellingham, a Dele Alli — a teenager who you need to trust to just walk into your side and he will make a huge impact to your team because he will play without fear and open up new spaces to attack through and lift all the players around him by playing to their strengths.
I think he would be a fantastic addition to our team on the pitch. But off the pitch as well, he would instantly become one of the most marketable players in our squad. We would sell millions of kits in Mexico. Liverpool’s broadcasting revenue would go up in that region too.
He would cost less than Scott, he would perform just as well, if not better, and he would expand the club’s global presence.
We have to get it done.
I think Rio Ngumoha’s brother and his family, and his team in general, have shown that he is very well grounded, and they will want to make sure his next contract with LFC is one which keeps him pushing to fulfil his ultimate goal, which is to be the best player in the world.
I expect he will get a huge pay rise, which will see him as one of the best-paid teenagers in the world, but I don’t expect him to become one of the club’s top earners overnight.
Above £100k a week but less than £175k is the sweet spot, with healthy performance-based incentives + a promise to start building his commercial profile as one of the club’s leading stars.
Obviously, if he quickly impresses during this season and then next season and goes to a new level in terms of goals and assists, then goes to the Euros with England in summer 2028 and becomes a superstar à la Yamal, then I imagine we’d just do another new contract for him and push his wage up to, like, £250k plus.
But he and his family know that this contract is the first of many on his path to greatness. I don’t think it will be a big issue to get it sorted.
Our subs bench this weekend could be:
Mamardashvili, Gomez, Endō, Tsimikas, Nyoni, Szoboszlai, Gakpo, Muñoz, Chiesa
And that’s with Bradley, Leoni, Ekitike and Frimpong all still injured for a while longer.
Our squad depth is suddenly looking really strong.
I would be tempted to start Tsimikas at LB. I just feel like he has really good connections on the ball with the players on our left. Wirtz and Barcola would play much better.
If everyone is fit for the weekend the team vs Brighton has to be:
Alisson,
Araujo, Jacquet, Virgil, Kerkez
Gravenberch, Mac Allister
Rio, Wirtz, Barcola
Isak
Muñoz and Szoboszlai off the bench would be class.
🏴 Rio Ngumoha vs Villarreal:
He came of age tonight. He’s not a kid anymore, he’s a young man.
[@k4comps] xitter.cf/user81882828191/status…
Rio Ngumoha keeps making history:
✅ Youngest Liverpool goalscorer
✅ Fifth-youngest Premier League goalscorer
✅ Youngest Liverpool player to start a competitive match
✅ Youngest Liverpool player to play in Europe
✅ Youngest Liverpool player to assist in the Champions League
Trying really hard to not criticise Gakpo because he’s just come back from injury but he’s honestly bottom of the list of wingers on the weekend.
Barcola, Rio, Muñoz all deserve a start more.
