Busy times with our student resit exams @Aristoteleio. We have had a good participation and wishing everyone best of luck 🤞

Here is a feature short video 🎥 outlining the research and it’s importance:

To thrive in the era of AI one needs develop their intuition, out of the box thinking and imagination 💪
By wisely combining AI assistance with human expertise and critical thinking, we can achieve faster and perhaps even better results than either could alone #FutureOfLearning
Students and professionals alike need to remember: AI is a tool, not an infallible source of truth (despite @elonmusk best efforts yet). Always cross-check important information, especially in technical fields. #FactChecking #STEM
This mistake highlights a crucial point: AI can produce convincing-sounding answers that can at times be fundamentally incorrect. It's up to us, the “expert users”, to apply our knowledge and critical thinking skills. #AILimitations
The AI missed a fundamental principle: the pressure at the open end of a hose is always equal to atmospheric pressure! This is basic fluid dynamics, but the AI overlooked it entirely. #FluidDynamics #PhysicsBasics
I was glad my reply was correct & hilarious to see AI apologise😂
Knowing I couldn’t have gotten this wrong, I posed the same question but under a different angle, to help AI reach an answer without getting confused (as I do with my students - which is close to the didactic method Socrates would follow).
Indeed, AI got it right this time!!
So I asked an AI about the pressure at the mouth of different hoses. The AI gave a detailed and well laid out word salad - which to a layperson sounded plausible (as did the commentary on the initial post). So clearly something wasn't right. Who is wrong: myself or the AI?🤔
This 🧵uses this brief but hilarious interaction with AI to perfectly illustrate why we should always question AI outputs. So let's talk about AI, fluid dynamics, and the importance of critical thinking! #AIEducation #CriticalThinking
