We spent 7 years to create a new type of CAR-T: TOP CAR, demonstrating high effectiveness against solid tumors. In the near future, we hope to start TOP CAR clinical trials in hard-to-treat cancers of #PancreaticCancer #lungcancer #brain #livercancer #ovariancancer #prostate, etc
Researchers at @theNCI-designated Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center have shown a breakthrough therapy for treating blood cancers can be adapted to treat solid #tumors—an advance that could transform cancer treatment. bit.ly/3yfefLm #CancerResearch #MECCC

How do lipids control cancer stem cells? In this @ScienceAdvances paper led by @Jihong_Cui, we found high levels of ABCA12 lipid transporter in breast CSCs reduce intracellular ceramide to activate the YAP/TAZ-SOX9 stemness program and chemoresistance. science.org/doi/10.1126/scia…

Excited to share our work identifying a SOX9-B7x axis used by dedifferentiated stem-like tumor cells to evade immune surveillance. These cells are unexpectedly immunogenic. But they can hijack the immune suppressive mechanism evolved for tissue regeneration for their protection
This is a wonderful collaboration with @xingxing_zang and spearheaded by Yu Liu @luvspipal . Huge thanks to all the collaborators for their contributions and to @Dev_Cell for publishing our work.

I started my scientific training with Filippo. It’s so sad that he left us far too early. R. I.P., Filippo.
Truly disheartened by the passing of another giant in #CancerMetastasis Filippo Giancotti.
Thanks Filippo, it’s been an honor to know you and learn from you @Giancotti_Lab
Really inspiring!
The proudest race of my life. Last Saturday, I completed the NJ State Triathlon along side my son Evan, who had cerebral palsy from severe birth trauma. Read full story here: The Race of a Lifetime:
