The Western General Estates Ground and Gardens team have been busy building parts of the new Staff Growing Space. If you'd like to volunteer to help, you can join Beth from 12-1pm Mon 2nd Feb. Location is behind the bike shed, between the Dialysis Unit and the Inverleith Building

We were absolutely delighted at the Western General to be joined by 25 students from The University of Edinburgh's "Dirty Weekenders" conservation volunteering society. They planted a whopping 1,700 bulbs. They also started work on a "dead hedge" opposite car park 7.

Our hospitals are under extreme pressure. If your loved one is coming home from hospital, please collect them as soon as they are able to be discharged. Make sure their house is warm and if you can stock up on some essentials. This frees up beds for those that need them most.

Congrats to the WGH Outpatient Theatres Team recognised as our latest Team of the Month They have embraced a new approach to treating Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia. This new technique is performed under local anaesthetic allowing same day discharge . A great team effort!! 👏👏
