Let's talk about what it's like having ADHD, anxiety, and a high IQ 🧵
TL;DR - traits and behaviors amplify each other but also interfere with each other
ADHD hack: Put the thing where you need to use it, not where a normal person thinks it belongs. Your ADHD brain* does not care about the concept of "tidy organization". It cares whether the object is visible.
*Does not apply to auDHD, y'all are built different 😂
Me: *wants spontaneity*
Also me: *needs to know plans in advance*
Also me: *gets extremely stressed out by pending plans*
Do you ever get overwhelmed by the sheer volume of ideas you have?

Sorry, but can we NOT use ADHD as an "excuse" for why your kid brought a 6un to school & 5hot their teacher?? 🙄
Context:
The mother of the 6-year-old who shot his teacher and then told cops, "f*ck you... b*tch," blamed the incident on his ADHD.
During an interview following the shooting, the boy's mother, Deja Taylor, said he had a "disability."
"He has ADHD... he doesn't sit still ever."
In the interview, Turner also appeared to point blame at the teacher for suspending her child, claiming he "accidentally" knocked her phone out of her hand.
The teacher, Abigail Zwerner, suffered a gunshot wound to the hand and chest. She needed multiple surgeries and spent weeks in the hospital.
I'm not a doctor, but I don't think ADHD makes you shoot your teacher.
Ok but what in the actual f*ck is going on with all these medication manufacturers 😭 Why is my prescription different every month??

Students with ADHD be like:
- *tosses loose papers into backpack*
- "wait, what homework?"
- *zoned out*
- *does entire project in one night and gets an A on it*
- *shoves loose papers into textbook*
- "wait, we have a quiz today?"
- "wait, what?"
If I do, what kinds of topics would you guys want me to cover?
Doesn't necessarily have to be ADHD-only! (e.g., parenting, emotions, sleep, psychology, medication, executive functioning, etc.) I'm a scientist at heart, so I always focus on research for my sources!
Why is it still legal for companies to give 8-hour time windows?? 😭 It is 2026.
"Someone will be at your house between 8 and 4" = stuck in waiting mode all day and nothing will get done.
Seriously considering getting back into making ADHD videos again on YouTube, given the rise of AI slop and content that only caters to algorithms. We're in desperate need of more authentic content with valuable information... and I think I'm capable of that... 🤔
I never believed the whole “ADHD brains develop fully by 35 instead of 25” thing, but idk. I just turned 33 last month and I must say I've noticed that I'm better about doing boring shit & considering my actions before taking them...
Maybe it's not bullshit after all!
