York 2
Port Vale 0
Hard-worked but deserved win in tough conditions.
McNally and Johnson excellent at the back.
Read impressed more and more as the game went on.
Strange game but a big 3 points.
Onwards to London.
To cut Head Coach some slack, 14 games in, it’s starting to look like summer signings hasn’t set up for success.
Accepting some injuries, only 2 regular starters from new recruits. I’m sure at least another couple of ‘hits’ will emerge, but ‘could do better’ is an early verdict
“I’m delighted with what we are and where we are.” 👊🏻
Ahead of Saturday’s visit of Port Vale how does York City head coach Scott Lindsey assess his side’s position in the League Two table?

York 1
Accy 1
Hard fought but deserved point against a well organised and wily set up.
Visitors difficult to break down, yet reliant on set pieces or York mistakes (which they failed to capitalise on) going forwards.
Credit to the players for going to the end.
Decent fella and decent manager.
A key part of the turnaround of York City from the basket case it had become

More clueless reporting from an @TheAthletic football reporter, an organisation that encourages words twisting lies to be published
A shame as I know a few of the guys who work for @TheAthletic & unlike you, they’re unbiased, as well as being decent people

Great work always by @SFoodbanks
Shouldn’t @5liveSport reporters have a duty to challenge Man City players about showing some humility about the cheating?
Foden interview about crowd booing the Prem anthem, and us v them mentality - the club has brought it on themselves and could do with acknowledging it
AFC Knowsley 4
Squires Gate 0
NWCL action & novelty factor of walking to/from a game for 1st time since living nr The Blades.
Visitors with 10 men for 78+ mins & 3 behind at the break but played a bold 3-2-4 formation 2nd half & had their moments. Just toothless.
Crowd ~60
12 mins in and the away side are 2 down, already used one sub, and now the keeper has been sent off.
The smallest outfield player is now in nets.
Lively start…
Ha ha ha ha!

Great goal.
Nice shout of “forward” from the crowd, just in case the team don’t know what they’re doing
