When you’re poor and your SO’s rich parents plan a major trip and say they’re gonna invite you and pay for everyone just to last minute say that you, yourself, are not going to be paid for. Everyone goes but you. How do you feel?

Don’t forget that the vile fog that spreads when narcissistic sociopaths activate their venom includes a freeze of undo shame. That feeling when someone lies about you & you know factually, it’s untrue but you still experience the undo shame. It’s the venom.

Pray, if that’s what you do. My daughter has been absorbed by a horrible cult like family and has run away to her father’s who is a horrible hands off father. I am devastated.

When you lose the most important relationship you’ve ever had you can’t think about the gaping chasm now in front of you. You have to give yourself time where you only look at and gather the minutes right in front of you. Even if those minutes are half empty. Moments at a time.

Hey. Tell me your feelings. Just anything about literally anything. I feel the need to listen and hear thoughts without a line of context. Needing to hear someone else’s thoughts right now. Sending out a universal virtual embrace that is warm and wholesome & fully accepting.

I need you guys to weigh in. Is an ex-husband taking your children to Hawaii something you think should be discussed or brought up with the ex-wife or is it something he just lets her know when the plans are already confirmed and booked?

This year I’m giving less fucks about expectations I shouldn’t accept. So… just a continuation of the last 3 years. Maybe honing this craft? How about you?

What does it mean when someone says, “I never wanted to hurt you.” ?! Don’t answer. It’s the most benign ineffective sentence and people still use it. People who say it bc they feel the need to say it should be sentenced to emotional prison. Amen? Amen.

Discovering over time how little you mean to people who said otherwise is a staple through life I’m finding. Does anyone get this?

Am I the only one who experiences an existential crisis daily? Mine usually happen when I wake up, on my lunch break, and when I dream. I’m fine.

It is so bizarre to be the parent on the other end of the ⛪️ invite. The way my kids are not in ⛪️ culture- so they’re being “outreached” to. 🫠 It’s just so completely opposite from the 1st whole half of my life. They go to be w/friends but ⛪️ -ianity is too small for them.

Been going through my old journals -I found one ab having to lose 5 lbs bc our ⛪️ forced the pastors & their wives to come in to the office for a BMI check to make sure we were all “FIT for leadership”. How disgusting is that? So much stuff I still never talked ab w/ANYone.

Do you ever realize new ways people are shitty? Like when my therapist mother casually mentions that she has the same ASD/ADHD/CPTSD symptoms that I do so she can deflate my experience. It sounds small but it’s what I’m thinking currently. I just realized that it sucks.

My PT knows I used to be a pastor. He likes to say ⛪️ -ppl things to me. I usually don’t respond. Him: I know Tr*mp is FAR from perfect but it’s just money crimes… Me: Sexual assault. Him: Really? Me: What do you mean, “Really?” Why do they act like they don’t know?

So we’re staying at an AirBnb and one of the rooms has an official key locked door. The car is in the garage. It was so weird to have the realization that the host might be like….. withhhhh ussss… has this ever happened to you? Definitely listed as a “entire home” listing.

Can anyone recommend a good book about doing inner work for inner peace that I could go through with someone who is experiencing severe anxiety? Something *actually* practical and helpful? Thanks FAM!!
