They should look to this event as to what NOT to do for comic book events 😭😭. There was absolutely *NO* communication between the main title writer and the tie-in writers. Both these issues happen back-to-back and Tony was a *completely* different character in both lmao.

Reed and Tony may as well be OCs in this event, man. Both issues written by Straczynski too, who was writing a pretty good Iron Man before this event took over everything like cancer. The issues are pretty alright, but Tony is horribly underwritten here.

I forgot just how good Tony's dialogue in this issue is, one of the few civil war tie-ins that actually portrays him as a human being with strong beliefs and not just a 1-dimensional evil douchebag. (New Avengers #24)
