Ethereum using non-standard cryptography a second time around (for post-quantum) would be a big mistake We could have had every iPhone act as a hardware wallet with Apple Wallet support if Ethereum had used standardized cryptography. Let’s fix this now instead of repeating it

For high performance blockchains, indexing and querying data quickly becomes the bottleneck. It doesn’t matter if your chain runs at 1M TPS if your data can only be ingested at 100K TPS Excited for this launch from @commonwarexyz! @exowarexyz is an important solution to this
At Frontiers this morning, we launched our first two @exowarexyz products: log + store Stream and index a stupid amount of data in realtime (~20-40ms cross-AZ durability at 5M keys/sec) for cheap 💸

Enable stablecoin micropayments with one click on @Cloudflare via Monetization Gateway! Allow humans and charge bots, or charge everyone. The config is up to you 🫡 DM for access (US-only for now) Congrats to @rohinlohe @caleb__guy @degen_adjacent @jsilv_a on the launch!
The Cloudflare Monetization Gateway is now available in Closed Beta. 💰 This means that sites can charge AI agents per request, query, or token using HTTP 402, without building separate payment infrastructure. 4 ways it’s being used today. ⬇️ blog.cloudflare.com/monetiza…

Had a wonderful time talking with @laurashin about agent payments! The web has already shifted from majority humans to majority bots Building sites that account for agents as potential buyers will become vital for the future
Cloudflare analysis says non-human traffic now dominates the web, which is problematic for publishers as bots don't click ads. 🤖 @WillPapper’s fix: micropayments that charge the bots.

I love that apps like these are now possible for solo devs. Fun experiences that would have taken a team multiple months can be done far faster with the latest models (+Cloudflare to make the backend easy to iterate on) Very impressed by the level of polish from @BraydenWilmoth!

The Jolt team is one of the best in zkVMs. They’ve been building from scratch via first principles for years. They’ve hit a big milestone with post-quantum support Congrats to @SuccinctJT, @a16zcrypto, and @LayerZero_Core on the milestone! A huge contribution to the industry.
1/ Today we're releasing Lattice Jolt: a post-quantum version of the Jolt zkVM, built on lattices instead of elliptic curves. It's _faster_ than curve-based Jolt and has the shortest proofs of any post-quantum zkVM — under 100 KB. Post: a16zcrypto.com/posts/article…

Cloudflare requires high throughput chains in an unprecedented way. If we monetize even a tiny fraction of HTTP requests, we exceed the throughput of all existing blockchains combined I am spending a lot of time on this as part of my work at Cloudflare. DM me if you want to jam!
“We need something that’s literally three orders of magnitude larger than Visa.” @eastdakota says an agentic internet could require roughly 10 million tiny financial transactions every second.

What is the steel man case for the privacy benefits of local inference? In my mind, it’s not hard to build preprocessing pipelines to filter out private data. For data like my inbox, I have Claude write a script first that filters for only the relevant data Why go fully local?

It’s hard to imagine a use case that is so important that it must be local-only, but also tolerant of the worse model quality that you get from this route Why buy the Mac Studio when it’s an awkward middle ground of great privacy but worse model quality?

(There are other arguments, like the fact that you trade an upfront cost for unlimited inference for life, but those fail to pencil out unless you’re literally running 24/7 LLM pipelines for years, especially given the lower tokens per second. Cloud clearly wins in most cases)

The line between bots and humans is blurring. What is an agent that is acting at a human’s direction? Is it a bot because it’s automated, a human because it’s directed by one, or a completely new paradigm? Agents need a web that is readable, discoverable, callable, and payable.
Agents are a new kind of visitor. They don't render CSS or click ads, but they have a paying human on the other end. Block them and you block your customer. We're building the open tools and protocols so publishers and agents can cooperate and not collide. cfl.re/4z7Y79p #AgentsWeek

Maybe I only reveal my identity once I trust a merchant, or for certain projects. It’s optional but helps both buyers and sellers.
