ALT Nicole Fiorica at McElderry Books has acquired Conditions of a Heart by Bethany Mangle (Prepped; All the Right Reasons), a YA novel about a teen who must come to terms with her disability and what it means for her identity, her love life, and her future, when a school fight brings unwanted attention to the illness she's been concealing from her friends. Publication is slated for spring 2024; Jennifer Wills at the Seymour Agency brokered the deal for world rights.
