Have you thought about who's winning when it comes to the #WilmotLandGrab? Not the farmers. Not the taxpayers. Not neighbouring properties. & not people downstream.

We need a Mayor & Council willing to stand up for our community!
How can some endorse the new Wilmot Official Plan when our farmland & water aren't adequately protected?
These candidates haven't accepted that this is all a “done deal.”

Kiera Upward has decided to not continue her campaign to become the Ward 1 Councillor in @WilmotTownship.
It’s too late for her to officially pull out of the race, but you should know this when you’re making your decision.

We have a water issue in @RegionWaterloo & they've been taking more from @WilmotTownship.
Do you really want an industrial mega-site built on farmland when just 1 L of spilled chemical can contaminate 1,000,000 L of water?
#FridayFact #FightForFarmland #wilmotlandgrab
How do you feel about not having any input on an industrial mega-site being built in Wilmot on prime farmland?

In Wilmot, we want candidates who will:
🧻Pull the Official Plan that the current @WilmotTownship Council approved for better farmland protections
📢State that Wilmot Township is an unwilling host
🌊Protect our water

Shrouded by secrecy. Protected by security.
We still haven't seen archaeological findings. They started digging almost 2 years ago.
They tore down buildings. Without calling in anyone to reuse the materials.
It leaves us wondering: What's the rush?
#wilmotlandgrab
We have 80 days until muncipal elections. Protect our community and vote for a Mayor and Council that will revoke the insufficient Wilmot #OfficialPlan.
#WilmotTownship #WilmotLandGrab
Great to see groups working together !
Wilmot Township staff suggested that Council approve the latest #OfficialPlan because the Province would approve it more quickly, It seemed that was more important to many of the councillors and so they voted not to strengthen protections of our rural community.
