When Chris Holmes lost his sight at age 14, Mr Bashford saw no obstacles in Chris’ way to pursue his dreams. Lets celebrate the teachers who ensure our dreams are within the realm of the possible! #TeachersChangeLives

A wonderful new, resident led group is being launched on Thursday 4th April in Brookside! This group is open to all parents, grandparents, carers & guardians - providing an opportunity for children to play whilst adults talk & share their own experiences to help support others.

Feel very grateful that Brookside has such an amazing community centre that brings people together & provides a wide range of great services. I sincerely encourage everyone to pop in for a cup of tea at Brook Park Cafe & say hello to the team there! @CentralCio @stirchleyandbr1

Today in Y6 we looked at poems that could be read forwards & backwards. I was stunned by this one written by one of my 10 year olds. Please share - I would love her work to be appreciated further afield. I wonder if it could even find a publisher?

I attended this last year & it was a wonderful opportunity to learn about the culture & values within our wider community. We were greeted with open arms, given a tour, met families & offered a variety of cakes! Great initiative! Opening doors & building bridges. @MuslimCouncil

Please pass on to any young people that may be interested. This is a great opportunity for them to have their say about where they live, improve their confidence and learn more about what is going on in their community and how they can help!

We had a great time this morning in our Family Learning Session. Lots of our grown ups came into nursery to get busy and find out how we learn through our play. @windmillprimary
