Elon Musk was once a moderate Democrat who supported Barack Obama. He even stood in line for six hours just to shake Obama's hand when he was running for president.
In 2010, President Obama visited SpaceX at Cape Canaveral, where Elon personally showed him around.
But years later, Elon could no longer support the Democrats, because they had become “the party of division and hate.” He eventually shifted his support to the Republicans.
Now, House Democrats are preparing to make Elon Musk a major target of congressional investigations if they regain control of the House in the midterms.
Also in previous years, Tesla stores, vehicles, and Superchargers were targeted by arson, vandalism, and gunfire. Political disagreements are never an excuse for violence. These are crimes, not legitimate forms of protest.
It's remarkable how much the relationship between Elon Musk and the Democratic Party has changed.

On August 10, a sea turtle landed at a Texas airport on a jet.
He flew in from London.
He had been in Wales for two years. He was supposed to be from Texas.
In December 2023, a dog on a Welsh beach found him. Two pounds. Freezing. Barely alive.
He's a Kemp's ridley, one of the most endangered sea turtles in the world. They live in the Gulf of Mexico. Sometimes the Atlantic grabs a baby and carries it 5,000 miles the wrong way.
Wales took him in. They named him Rhossi. For two years they fed him, treated him, got him strong.
By August 2026 he weighed 46 pounds and was ready to go home.
Helicopter from Wales to London.
Jet across the Atlantic.
Landing in Houston.
At the Houston Zoo, a senior vet named Dr. Joe Flanagan came out of retirement to take care of him.
For one turtle.
Rhossi still has a little pneumonia. When the vets clear him, he goes back into the Gulf of Mexico.
I told a guy in Houston the whole story.
He didn't look surprised. Not even a little.
He shrugged.
"He's a Texan.
Texans find their way home."

The FBI arrested a 17-year-old in McKinney, Texas, over an ISIS-inspired plot to assassinate Republican Congressman Keith Self and carry out a terrorist attack in North Texas.
The suspect was arrested after acquiring a firearm.
Self is a vocal critic of Sharia law and Islamic extremism. He co-founded the “Sharia-Free America Caucus”
