Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood. ~ Fred Rogers

Now's a great time to download our Spring Flower Spotter! We've already seen lots of these in flower so far this year - how many have you spotted? We've also caught the delicious aroma of wild garlic in the air. It won't be long until their starburst of white flowers are on show!

If you’re already missing your Xmas decs, these are fun to make in your Mud Kitchen, garden or playground. Leave them to freeze overnight and then hang them up for all to enjoy in the morning #ice #looseparts #iceplay #opalschools #getoutdoors #cold #winter

Children need the peace of a long, slow-paced, active and engaged childhood, with plenty of time to finger slime, peer into water, and make hosts of new discoveries that consolidate the process of knowing self and the world. Let's #PlayintoWinter!

It's Friday so we're feeling SILLY. And we want to know about the silliest children's book you've ever read! Did it have nonsense words, or a bizarre plot? Did it get you and your family giggling away? Let us know your choices! 🤪
