Our elected reps keep saying that SBISD is the only district “complaining” about the lack of public ed funding. Thank you @KPRC2Rilwan for highlighting some of the many other districts that are also sounding the alarm on funding! #fullyfundSBISD #ComeandTakeIt
Spring Branch ISD leaders tell me they’re anticipating losing close $90M over 2 years which could see over 700 people let go.
They’re not alone.

If the Legislature does not raise the Basic Allotment by at least $1,000, beginning in 2024-25, there will be significant cuts to all services in SBISD. Here's what you need to know, from @jennifer_blaine & the SBISD Board of Trustees: bit.ly/DrBlaineUpdate-April1… #FullyFundSBISD

Good Evening Governor, I don't care that the House & Senate are playing badminton w/ school choice. But in the meantime, could y'all get serious about funding urban districts w/ high % of economically-disadvantaged students? Basic allotment = voucher...at the very least.

Spring Branch- pay attention and read carefully! Email in you inbox- Please call THIS WEEK! We need a minimum of $1,000 added to basic allotment. $50 simply won’t do! Our students, staff and families deserve better! #fullyfundsbisd @SBISD

Thanks, @HoustonChron for spotlighting SBISD's School Finance Advocacy Team as we prepare for the 88th Legislative Session. We need reform of the state’s funding formulas for public education to meet the needs of our children! Join us in our advocacy campaign to #FullyFundSBISD!
