Introducing… the Woodward Wolves! 🐺💜💛
The ball made its way around MCPS, and it finally landed with us. Thank you to our fellow MCPS mascots for passing it along! 🏈
Woodward was the Wildcats until 1987, when that name went to our friends at Walter Johnson to help unite the two schools as they merged. Forty years later, Woodward has a new identity, and our community chose it.

Why a wolf?
Wolves look for a pack, look out for one another, and are strongest because every member is different. That’s the school we’re building.
School Colors: Purple, White & Gold. Purple and White were Woodward's original colors, often highlighted by yellow/gold. 💜🤍💛

Great time with the Woodward Class of 1981 at their 45th reunion! We toured the new building, and they gifted us the original WOODWARD letters from the first school. They'll have a home on our campus when we open in 2027. 💜
