The Inherited Will of the Gods:
Haki and Omen as Yin and Yang(Haki the power of Sun God Nika)
Omen and Haki are yin and yang.
Both exist because a gods shared their power.
Omen is Imuâs power, handed to his people.
Haki is Sun God Nikaâs power, handed to humanity. Omen can counter Haki. Haki can counter Omen.
This theory deals with how Haki came into existence in the One Piece world:

The situation in Holy land is under control because of Shamrock, so if Sommers and Kilingham both lose and gets defeated, what would speak about Imu to call Shamrock for backup?
I'm just telling, the plot with Shamrock and Luffy would get a new meaning.

Shanks vs Mihawk - Debate about the world's strongest swordman
In the following tweet, I will provide a detailed argument for this "Bogardguy" and all Mihawk fans in general, explain my perspective, and counter Bogardguyâs points with arguments of my own.
Recent developments strengthen one side of the argument and should be acknowledged clearly. In chapter 1195, Zoro properly taps into Advanced Conquerorâs Haki for the first time.
He coats an existing sword technique (1080 Pound Phoenix) in CoC and also breaks the ship they are on with it, producing effects reminiscent of the ship-breaking displays associated with Shanks.
Mihawk was the one who taught Zoro the âsense of selfâ required for Conquerorâs Haki.
These moments support the view that CoC coating and shockwave-style applications can be integrated into swordsmanship.
Divine Departure is executed with a sword and treated as a named technique. Xebecâs impact-based style was still described as swordsmanship.
Mihawk holds the official title of Worldâs Strongest Swordsman, possesses a permanent Black Blade, and the Vivre Card states he had no more worthy challengers when he received the title. His refusal to fight a one-armed Shanks is explicit.
The argument that losing an arm is a meaningful disadvantage for a swordsman is also on the table. These points are legitimate. Mihawk is the superior pure swordsman, and he will have strong Advanced Conquerorâs Haki. Claims that he has none ignore what the series has shown.
As you can see, Iâm trying not to dismiss these arguments as bullshit; they are legitimate and actually make sense.
At the same time, these developments do not erase a distinction the series has already drawn with other characters.
What We Still Do Not Know About Haki:
The larger point is that the full range of high-level Haki remains largely unexplored.
Recent developments with Imu and the âOmenâ have shown that Conquerorâs Haki can produce a variety of new effects beyond simple coating or reinforcement.
In non-canon material such as Movie Red, Shanks coats his sword in energy and repeatedly spams Gryphon-style attacks against a high-tier opponent. In the game version of One Piece, Shanks is depicted with the ability to slow down time another application that sits in the spectrum of advanced Haki rather than traditional sword technique.
These examples, even when non-canon, illustrate the same underlying idea the manga has already hinted at: Haki can generate phenomena that function more like abilities than cuts.
If Shanks can use Haki to generate or amplify fire, lightning, pressure, or time-related effects and spam them the way King channels his flames, those applications would fall outside the pure swordsmanship category in the same way Puncture Wille and Imperial Wings do.
Haki itself is not a sword category. When it is used to enhance a cut or coat a blade, it can be part of swordsmanship. When it is used to project range effects, disrupt Observation, generate elemental phenomena, or produce other specialized results, it is a Haki application.
The series has not established that every high-level Haki use performed with a sword automatically becomes pure sword skill in the sense defined by Mihawkâs title.
Summary:
Mihawk is the stronger pure swordsman.
He has the title, the permanent Black Blade, superior blade skill, and the narrative support that comes with them. Zoroâs recent CoC applications being framed as sword skills further supports that CoC-coded techniques belong in the swordsmanship domain for pure swordsmen.
Those points stand.
Shanks, however, is not defined solely by pure swordsmanship.
Like Law with his Devil Fruit and King with his flames, his most distinctive tools are applications of a different power system in his case, extreme and creative Haki, for which the sword often serves as a medium rather than the source of power. The series has already shown that âuses a swordâ and âpure swordsmanâ are not the same thing.
Until we see the full extent of what top-tier Haki can do, the cleanest reading remains that Shanks is a Haki specialist of the highest order who happens to fight with a sword, not a pure swordsman whose ceiling is defined by the Worldâs Strongest Swordsman title.
Both characters can be exceptional in their respective domains without one fully encompassing the other.
I hope Iâve managed to clearly articulate my perspective and that of many other Shanks fans, as these serve as strong counterarguments to the claims centered on "swordsmanship skills" and the title of "Worldâs Strongest Swordsman."
While I doubt that Vista is stronger than Law, it is entirely plausible that Law could defeat himeven if Vista possesses superior swordsmanship skills and is, technically, the "stronger" swordsman.
The same applies to Shanks; we still donât know what his "all-out" combat style looks like. Oda clearly intends for us to see how Shanks actually fights. The example of King is the ultimate argument demonstrating that someone who carries a sword and even executes their final attack using that sword is not necessarily a "swordsman."
His "Imperial Wings" technique is not a swordsmanship skill; rather, the sword serves merely as a conduit to focus his flames before unleashing them all at once.
In this same vein, Shanks likely treats his sword as a secondary tool, using it to facilitate his primary combat abilities, much like Law or King.
A reason why Oda could bodly said that Mihawk is the stronger swordman without exactly having Mihawk over Shanks.
Shanks will end up stronger, with the better feats...
End :)

I remember telling my brother 3-4 weeks before Imu arrived in Elbaph, what if his design was similar to King or Acnologia(Fairy tail) and just few weeks later we got a amazing design for the final villian...
Oda didn't miss with the design for Imu 10/10.
